Interesting ruling done by the NCAA.  I do not agree with it.  What is wrong with promoting your team/university.  I realize this is discussing football, but I imagine it would carry to other sports?  Maybe not though.  Very interesting read, especially towards the end.

I think it's in an effort to keep advertising off the field?  You know, like, #AutoZonePlayerOfTheWeek or #TacoBellGutBombLocosTacos kind of thing.

 

But I could be wrong.  I often am.

I am fine with this ruling.  I tend to remember that, at one point in time, we just worried about keeping streakers off of the court/field.

Does seem odd that the Husker Hoops administration has not embraced #nebrasketball. It's clever and catchy... in the 90s, NEEbrasketball appeared to be used quite regularly by NU athletics.
