Would Paige Bueckers go to Brookings?  The guy at SDSU is a great coach even winning games in the NCAA Tournament with the talent pool he draws from.  Geno, to his credit, has the entire nation.  He should be in the Final Four every year with the talent he attracts.

Geno was into his about 39th straight sweet 16 (if not better...maybe elite 8 ?)....(if I remember the numbers correctly)  He get's the talent no question. But to win that consistently, for decades... is the measure of top level coaches in any sport. He gets the most from his players.

Watched them yesterday. They don't look like world beaters, but they efficiently get the job done....control the flow of the game. Some one scores 40 and it helps :)

Yep, I'm a fan. Just like to see any team execute and play well. No trash talking, knocking people over....just playing the game.

Why don't we spend the money to get them then. Oh that's right   we need the money for a third string outside hitter.

I believe NU volleyball gets a significant amount of money specifically from a connection with the Gretna Crossing outlet mall owner?

That has not completely panned out.  Plus, to the extent it's there, its through 1890.  None of it comes at the expense of women's basketball.

The rise came with the rise of nearby ESPN.  UConn received plenty of coverage from that outlet.  Hiring great coaches didn’t hurt.

The Huskers benefitted from it in the network-only days. Notre Dame benefitted from their NBC deal. Atlanta Braves benefitted from TBS.

But all three of those teams haven't seen the same sustained success that UCONN has, which is impressive. The world changes and you have to adapt.
