Also, I have noticed that Shimmy is not using Gray any more on television. Maybe something has changed in her life. Apparently Nebraska is still using Gray when it lists her as the announcer.

It’s a game we can win on the road but it’s going to take all 10 playing well.

If we had a healthy Potts and a healthy Weidner, I think we win this game relatively easily. 
 

Oh, and I’m still salty about McCabe going to play at Iowa. Lol

McCabe just had her most action in a Iowa uniform their last game. 35+ minutes and 15 points. She was their best player in that game. Considering how much they talked up a few of their players, outside of Olsen who transferred in you can see how much Clark opened up the rest of their players. If we play like we can then we can come out with a win.

I will be interested to see the match up between Markowski and O'Grady.  Similar size, body builds and playing style. Season long the edge in converting possessions to points goes to O'Grady, but AM has done much better the last few games. If AM gets in foul trouble - or when she just needs a blow -  Bozan defend against  O'Grady will also be an indication of how far Bozan has come in defensive play.

We Need to shoot around 40% on our 3's to win. Anything under 30% and we lose.

Iowa tries to quicken the pace, so we'll need to get moving early on.  Need a group effort rebounding, and likewise tough defense. Likewise good percentage shooting.

 

Their crowd will be behind them. Have to overcome that as well.   

 

We can do it with lots of focus and fire in the belly.  GBR

Bad call on AM

Plenty of silly , unforced turnovers.  We had better match Iowa’s defensive intensity or we may get run out of Carver.  We are getting picked off on screens too easily.

Nice ending to the quarter.  We played better defense, cut out the turnovers and shot lights out.  Keep playing good defense, rebound and knock down open shots.

Why can’t we feed the post?  Our offense is all perimeter passing.  To be fair, Bozan blew a beautiful pass from Prince.

Iowa’s defense has taken us out of any semblance of offense.  We need to keep Markowski on the floor to establish some type of post presence. It would be nice if we can draw some fouls on offense but when you shoot nearly all perimeter shots you aren’t going to get to the foul line.  Stuelke is a bad matchup for Alexis on defense.

We may or may not win this game, but what is most striking to me is how different Iowa carries themselves this year without their once in a generation talent on the floor. A different team psychologically - they look very mortal.
