I hope that AM will attack the hoop forwardly only - no fade aways and converts 60%+ of under the hoop possessions to points; that NP keeps it up with the put backs; that Jazz keeps shooting; and that Jazz, Nissley, and Hake can hit a combined 35%+ of threes; and that NP does not come out of the game at the first 4 minute point or that, if she does, the Kendalls prove me wrong.  Sounds trite and obvious to say this, but i will anyway - this game probly comes down to 3 pt shooting. I loved the way AM fought for rebounds against the Illini.

Where did you find the details @12dozen?  I usually find this information on the WBB Game Page @ Huskers.com, but that site doesn't seem to have put up a Game Page, OR Preview for the Minny Game (at least not yet, and game is in less than two hours.

Braun (G) is their shooter. One big key will be shutting her down, other wise it may be a long day. Minny's loses have been to good teams.

This will be a tough one.

2022 Mara Braun, 6-0, G, Wazata HS, Plymouth, MN and HS Teammate of Annika Stewart.   I don't know if she was ever recruited by us (as far as I know never offered), but Mara Braun was on a few of our fans watch lists.

Dawn Plitzuweit guides an improving group of Gophers in her first season as Minnesota’s head coach. Plitzuweit spent six seasons as the head coach at South Dakota following Amy Williams’ departure. to Nebraska.

The Gophers enter Sunday’s game with a 12-3 record that includes a 2-2 Big Ten mark following an 82-66 win at Michigan (Jan. 9). Minnesota’s only losses have come to UConn, Iowa and Maryland.

• Mara Braun, 6-0 guard from Wayzata, MN ( and former HS team-mate of Annie Stewart), scores 19.7 points while adding 4.3 rebounds per game.
• Amaya Battle is averaging 10.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and a team-best 5.7 assists.
• Mallory Heyer, 6-1 forward is averaging 9.9 points and 8.1 rebounds while hitting 39.5 percent (30-76) of her three-pointers.
• Sophie Hart, 6-5 transfer, has 10.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
• Freshman Grace Grocholski scores 11.1 ppg and rebounds 4.7 rpg, while hitting 35.7 percent (35-98) of her three-point attempts.

Yeah, I definitely expect a tough game as well.  Would be a great road W if we can get it!  It would help us keep pace to be near the top.  A loss wouldn't surprise me however.  Gotta play that tough gritty game, esp. on D, to have a  chance.  GBR!!

And Minnesota hasn't even made any 3s to go up by 10.

We have no offense.  I think we are defending decently but if we cannot get the ball to the deep post we are helpless.  I believe our substitutions early cost us dearly. 19-10 after one.  White has to shoot free throws better, made one of three after being fouled.

25-17 with 4;33 left in qtr 2. Jaz is doing a nice job defending Braun and Minnesota hasn’t hit a three…yet.  Our offense is offensive.

This team is such a   show!! Stewart needs to be playing way more than Petrie. Their posts are slow and she would give us some good shots unlike Petrie. I don't get it. I hope the 2nd half is different but they are getting so hard to watch....

32-19 at half.  We are fortunate to be this close.  We miss good looks and cast up some gawd awful threes.  When we shoot a high percentage it deceived us to believe we are a good team. Amy better figure out how to score when only White can get to the basket and she is on the bench half the time.

The shots have started to fall.  We are playing with more intensity at both ends.  Don’t understand pulling White after she drove and scored but I will never understand our substitution patterns.  If we keep defending and rebounding we have a chance.
