Refs are ruining college basketball.  Not only was the sequence where the blatent charge by KU not called, and the roll on the ground scrum was called, but assessing the wrong guy the foul when Withey committed the foul in the last minute reatly affectedt he outcome.  I'm not sure Johnson gets off the 3 if Withey isn't in the game setting picks.  How 3 refs couldn't have seen who committed the foul is beyond reason.  The cynic would suggest Withey couldn't foul out at that stage.

That last minute might have been the worst ever.  Surprised ISU fans didn't do more than fire a few mini-megaphones at Johnson for his dunk at the buzzer.

I'm glad the Hawks pulled it out, but I agree with all of the above. Even Frashilla , who is not supposed to comment on refs as an ESPN analyst, had to say that the Big 12 office should review this crew's performance. But Johnson was unbelievable last night .

Agree that Johnson was unbelievable.  What a great, clutch performance.  Too bad it is detracted from by the absolutely pitiful perfromance by the officiating crew.

IRVING, TX - The Big 12 Conference has released a statement regarding the officiating during the Kansas at Iowa State men's basketball game on Monday, February 25. This will be the only public statement by the Conference on the matter.

The Big 12 Conference acknowledges that officiating errors were made at the end of regulation during last night's Kansas at Iowa State men's basketball game. The plays have been reviewed and appropriate measures will be taken by the Coordinator of Men's Basketball Officials to adjust the number of future assignments for the two officials involved in conjunction with Conference policies.

I feel bad for the ISU fans, but in the larger picture, the whole Big 12 got ripped off, because this game means that Kansas is now likely to win their 9th straight league title, and they don't deserve it.
