Nebraska basically needs 3 more wins, when means NU doesn't even have to win at Wisc. That PSU win over Wisc. helped NU's cause in that regard. And that's still for sole possession of 1st place for the Huskers. Now, if they want to remain undefeated, then they'll need all 4, of course.

This is correct— I saw that you had said we were 15-0, but that was Saturday.  Magic number is now 3 combo of Nebraska wins or Wisco losses.

Incredible how Volleyball Day in Nebraska has impacted the world. I wonder how much revenue they had "officially" created for NU athletics. . .

This is just what I figured would happen.  
 

1) already won the title

2) playing a team we have REAL trouble beating

3) on the road

4) day after a major holiday where many players didn’t get to go home for

5) the added pressure of “having to stay undefeated”

 

We just can’t let this game (if we lose) beat us in Minnesota too.

Nebraska volleyball garnered nearly all of the major awards, only the POTY went to Sarah Franklin, WI.

 

Bergen Reilly, Setter of the Year

Harper Murray, Freshman of the Year

Lexi Rodriguez, Defensive Player of the Year (also won this in 2021)

John Cook, Coach of the Year (also won this in 1997--at WI, 2016, and 2017)

 

Merritt Beason and Lexi were both unanimous selections to 1st team all-B1G

Bergen and Harper also selected to 1st team all-B1G

 

Andi Jackson & Bekka Allick were both on 2nd team all-B1G

 

Maggie Mendelson is Sportsmanship Award winner for NU

 

 

And, yet, I still think Laney Choboy should have been honored as well.....

#1 Nebraska hosts Long Island Univ. tonight at 7 pm.

 

Prior to that, #8 Mizzou will be playing Delaware at 4:30 pm.

Nebraska is set to face Georgia Tech in the Sweet Sixteen after dismantling the Missouri Tigers tonight 25-14, 25-19, 25-21.
