Huskers Pack PBA on Play4Kay Day against Iowa 
The Nebraska women's basketball team returns to Pinnacle Bank Arena on Saturday for its special Pack PBA event on Play4Kay Day against No. 7 Iowa.

Tip-off between the Huskers (14-12, 6-9 Big Ten) and the Hawkeyes (21-5, 13-2 Big Ten) is set for 1 p.m. (CT) with tickets for sale now at Huskers.com. Well over 11,000 tickets have been sold for Saturday's game, promising a Pinnacle Bank Arena women's basketball record crowd. Nebraska's PBA record is 9,750 fans at the first game in arena history against UCLA (Nov. 8, 2013). The Nebraska women's basketball record crowd came with 13,595 fans in a sellout at the Bob Devaney Sports Center (vs. Missouri, Feb. 27, 2010). 

Saturday's rematch in the season series between Nebraska and Iowa will be televised live by the Big Ten Network with Mike Hall and Christy Winters Scott on the call.

The game also can be heard across the Huskers Radio Network with Matt Coatney and Jeff Griesch on 107.3 FM in Lincoln along with 590 AM in Omaha, Huskers.com and the Huskers App.

Saturday's game will be Nebraska's Pink Game to promote awareness of all forms of cancer, support cancer survivors and remember all those who have been lost. The Huskers will stand against cancer in pregame with fans invited to hold cards and write names of loved ones they are supporting or honoring.

Don’t know if PBA will be sold out or not, but it will by far and away be the biggest WBB crowd of this season. Good news - a full or near-full arena looks good on BTN. 
 

Get the feeling there will be more than a few Iowa fans in PBA today.

This is the 4th time I’ve watched Iowa play this year. Why is it their perimeter players are so much effective at firing the ball inside to Czinano but when our perimeter players try to feed it inside to a post player, almost half the time it results in a turnover?

Different offensive and defensive schemes by two different teams.  Each are doing it how the coaches have planned. Positioning of the other players affect how you can make passes.

If you rewatch the game, check out Clark at about the 3:45 mark of the 2nd quarter.  She's standing with the ball at the top of the key, and probably shuffles her feet 4 or 5 times.  Ref is right there.

HOLY MOLY! Iowa leads by only Seven at the Half (33-40) I thought we were going to get MURDERED!  (and we had our chances to take the lead in Q2)

Still in the game, and have been competitive- esp. on defense in which I'm sure they took the previous performance to heart.  Let them go on a little run at the end of the half unfortunately.  Keep after them, ladies, the crowd is behind you.  GBR!!

Horrible end to the half. Face it, Clark is going to be protected by the officials so we have to live with it.  But that last bucket was way too easy.  Sam watched Cnizano lay it in like she watched Marshall bury a three to end the first quarter.  Her head doesn’t seem to be in the game.  Play Moriarity, at least she will try to defend.  

 

We cannot let this effort from Jaz and Alexis go for naught.  We have a chance if everyone will play.  Iowa will get contributions from everyone.

Better Defense, or schemes?   Seems like we are always trying to get the ball to Alexis in the middle of a forest of arms.  Besides Czinano is a very experienced, smart player.  Edit:  And Well-coached (tks @All About the Corn)

You and Red Don are both on point. Czizano is experienced and has had excellent coaching.  She plays aggressively, has more post moves, seems to have superior length and strength.  She is an elite player.  Hoping Alexis has a similar career.
