Rivers was 6'7" 175 as a freshman.

This guy is going to be a junior in HS.  I'd think more Ed Morrow or Derrick Walker.

Good Lord David Rivers was skinnier than I remember.  Like, unhealthy skinny.  Okay, point conceded.

Rivers took the “power” out of power forward.

 

He played his butt off though!

If I remember correctly, his best game was at Michigan St.,  and we don’t win that game nor make the tournament without him.

Short story...I sat next to David's dad at his graduation.  Never said a word for ten minutes.  Then in the next twenty minutes or so, we had a wonderful conversation.  Good man.  I then learned that he passed away shortly thereafter.

Yep.  No one ever questioned the kid's motor or desire.  He would have been a beast if he had weighed 50 pounds more.
