Verge is perplexing tonight.  At times, he plays really good, at other times he plays out of control.  Do you sit him, or let him play?  Probably let him play.

That first paragraph is pretty much where I'm at too. Didn't expect much, but I'm a bit impressed. Kinda. If verge plays well tonight, I think it's a different game. 

 

Second half, you probably play him for now. Once Trey comes back, you have options on who to play at the lead guard. Robin said sometime next week is the most likely outcome. Maybe Illinois, but others more likely.

Trey ain't no point guard, though. We have Verge and maybe Webster for that role.

No BTN bias.  2 minutes to go in the game.  "We're going to have Tom Izzo following the game."

 

That game was much closer than the score indicated.  I've never seen a more unlucky team.  We had 3 good looks that went halfway down.

I liked what I saw from him running the show as the PG last year when Banton was dealing with COVID.

7 of 23 from 3 and the playground shots Verge and McGowens take are bigger reasons for getting beat. Oh and not boxing out.
