Reese Eddins is ballin' out. 5th & 6th K to get out of a jam. Which resulted in the NW coach being thrown out... meanwhile, the only fans in the stands, it seems, are the Husker fans who are cheering loudly in the background. Nebraska fans are simply the best. GBR!

He is what we needed today.  I was very wrong about Eddins earlier in the year.  He has been pitching very well.

 

Lead-off double and walk to start the 7th, but no bunt leads to a pop-up to the catcher.  Erstad refuses to play small ball.  Bailed out by a hbp.

Northwestern seems to have Nebraska's number in most sports, at the moment, in the Battle of the NU's.

Above .500 record in conference confirmed for the Big Red.

Whew. Need to win the next 2 series to climb back on the bubble. That will be a herculean task.

Good news is that we got a chance to right the ship before the Big 10 tourney.  Bad news is that if we play the way we have been, we could be looking at a 6 game skid heading into the Big 10 tourney.

 Who made the comment that the Reese Eddins experiment was over early in the year. Seems he did just fine as the year went on.

Arizona St is not exactly coming in hot.  They have been scuffling like us.  Albeit, their competition has been much stiffer.

 

Depending on who you ask we are either barely out or barely in right now in terms of a regional.  So, we still have a chance to play ourselves in if the bats can do something.

I think winning the next two series we need 0-1 B1G tournament wins

If we split the next two series we need 2-3 B1G tournament wins

If we lose the next two series, probably win the B1G tournament.
