Would like to see some trapping out of the 1-3-1. Not all the time but when a decent opportunity arises. With the length NU has trapping a 6'2" player with Palmer, Roby or Copeland could create some breakaway chances. NU did trap once out of the man to man and it led to lay up.

I love me some Cary, but not playing those team is bad for us.  We could maybe win a couple of those games and we need them as resume' boosters.

It is what it is. Can't change it, now. The B1G schedule makers really didn't do anyone any favors by moving up the conference tourney, tbh.

It is good for all those New York fans who will pack MSG. :P

At what point should we/can we do anything about this Glynn Watson shooting slump?

He's not turning the ball over but considering how well we rebound all those misses start to add up.

I know it's in there somewhere but is it coming back this year?

Only one person on the planet thought that this schedule was a good idea.  Unfortunately that one person was the fool Jim Delaney.

Is he really adding anything defensively?

Sit him and start Taylor.  Taylor is playing better and deserves more minutes.

he had 4 fouls in 6 minutes of play...

why is it that our big men seem to be foul magnets over the years?  Is that a specific part of their development that is being ignored?

there is a LOT of season left.  Don't count Glynn out just yet...

I'm not really suggesting that we sit him or anything like that...it's just that at this point I like him better taking 5-7 shots than taking 10+

To expound a bit on the Glynn Watson thing, I am continually astounded at some of the moves and passes he is able to make even now during his current shooting slump.  Almost every time out he does at least a couple things that make me say wow.

he takes a lot of looong 2 point jumpshots which is one of the worst shots in basketball unless you are jordan or kobe.

he should be shooting open 3 point shots or driving to the hoop.

If you're playing Roby at the 5 he has got to be a threat on the offensive end.  With a center on him he should be able to take him off the dribble, get some open looks outside, even initiate the offense.  I don't think posting him up or using him to set ball screens is particularly effective.

Bottom line is when one guy shows up it will not end well.  Until we can get guys who can make FTs, box out, get better at stopping the ball, and get more consistent shooting we will not win games like this.  Scary thing is we were in the game.
