I admire your positive outlook. Wish I could agree. Next couple weeks will be if nothing else, interesting.

Given the number of open schollies, I highly doubt Copeland's offer was contingent on anyone else.

Per this article, the other ISU had been recruiting him since his freshman season.  Also, sounds like he is close with someone currently on the team that is also from Oakland.  That sort of softens the blow of him cancelling his visit to come see us

Yup, they've been all over him for a long time. Relationships matter more than playing for a higher level school for some kids.

then I approve. I think that's a good thing, even if it's to our potential disadvantage. i think a lot of us would probably reward people who put time into us, too.

Can't polish this one...Illinois State beating us for recruits will never sound good to me.
