Farokhmanesh will fill several roles in this newly created position.  His primary duties will be to help manage and oversee the off-the court responsibilities of student-athletes. He will play a major role in creating and implementing a mentoring program. He will coordinate community outreach with Nebraska’s Life Skills staff while also serving as liaison to groups within the Department of Athletics, including the Nebraska Athletic Performance Laboratory (NAPL). He also will assist the Husker coaching staff in recruiting operations, including on-campus hosting duties.

It would seem that we've created a position specifically to keep Ali around which is certainly mutually beneficial for a guy who wants to stay in the area.

Was Jesus on that mangers team? And this means we should all be able to spell Farokhmanesh without looking it up. He seems like a good guy and I am glad Coach Miles appeared to go the extra mile to keep him on the payroll. I just wonder how old he will have to be before his name is not accompanied by the tag line regarding his late three pointer against KU?

I suspect as long as it took Matt Davison. As in he is branded for life.

Lee appears to be 3-4 days late to the Farokh'ing party.

We are playing South Dakota too, who knew!

Apparently Lee doesn't know (yet) that Nebraska will host Southern Univ. as well....

He does have the Creighton game circled in blue ink though.

Uh....what would lead anyone to believe that Leebo likes or cares about Creighton?  He's the B1G beat writer and has been covering the team for years.

He did know about Wes Eikmeier which he covered in that article as well.
