I was impressed with their defense in the WNIT championship game. Plus, she had a good bench. Would be nice to put the injury bug behind us and have a bench that is developed.

Her players never looked lost in that game and played hard the whole time. Not a single superstar on the court that day - it was an entire team effort. I would like to see what she could do with the Huskers.

Plus, she already has plenty of red attire for the sidelines. Wouldn't have to buy a new wardrobe.

one other thing i noticed about the usd squad. they were very impressive going after rebounds/loose balls and tying opponents up that had control of the ball. imo, one of the best in the summit---if not the best.

i could be wrong, but, think the only two that haven't commented are Hannah Whitish and Kathleen Doyle? or maybe i did read Doyle mentioned she would have to think things over.

ok, rumor, but i will spit it out anyway-----according to the usd board, sioux falls espn station (the local guy) reporting it's Amy Williams job if she wants it. 

 

and let me add, according to usd fans, his tweets are not very reliable. so.....

Sounds as if every television station, radio station and publication in South Dakota is reporting in one way or another that Coach Amy is most likely the next coach here. I'm guessing they could be on to something. Amy's been eerily quiet with the South Dakota press and on social media and hasn't done anything to squelch all the reports and rumors about her flying around.

just my 2¢, but, i really believe amy williams could calm the seas rather quickly. now, whether she could keep everyone on board? who knows. that's kind of up to each individual player thinking of leaving or re-opening their recruitment. but....

 

IF, she is the one, i hope nat, hannah, and kathleen----also the ones that are most likely to remain give her the opportunity to speak with them before they make a final decision. i would put my money on coach williams to retain at least most of the current players and new recruits. jmo.

Given Nat's comment about the immaturity on the team, I think she may be looking elsewhere regardless of who the new coach is.  And I wouldn't blame her.

She just has a way about her, it's hard to explain, one needs to listen to her to get more of a feel. Plus, I believe with her being a Husker alum will help her in a lot of ways with the current players. Can't say she will keep all of them but I hope they all at least give her a chance.

 

And another way to keep players on the roster maybe to consider to keep at least one of the assistant coaches that we have now on staff.

 

I think she would do fairly well recruiting since she played a big part of both former Oklahoma St coaches Julie Goodenough and Kurt Budke staffs and Budke had some really good recruits go through Ok St before he tragically died. She served as Tulsa's recruiting coordinator prior to that.  She has developed some really good contacts in Texas and through out the southwest and now in the upper midwest.

 

Plus the fact she would be out on the recruiting trail now wearing that big red N on her chest. That there should open a lot more doors of recruits for her than she was ever used to. But I could be a little biased on that!

My guess is their are certain current players she wouldn't try to keep.  But she would try like hell to keep Romeo.   We need that one.

Sounds good to me Row6. Does anyone know what her salary is at USD? never mind I found it, she makes 180,000.
