We gotta find a way to right this ship. Indiana was playing without McRoberts, and Morgan went out in the 1st half with an injury and didn't return. Plus, it was at East Lansing. How in the hell did Indiana find a way?!

This could wind up being an entire roster reboot job -

I would like to see him shoot it when he's open! He turned down a couple. -
No expectations, this is Nebrasketball

It's hard to believe 2 weeks ago, we were a 4-seed in some analysts' minds. Here we are 2 weeks later squarely on the bubble. The life of Nebrasketball to a T ? -
They played it last night!

I'm just so worried we go for another hot mid-major hire. I mean, look at our track record since the beginning of time. I worry in 5-7 more years, we'll be having this discussion again. I love Miles, although I get very frustrated a lot of the time. I honestly don't know what the best thing to do is at this point. I can see reasons for him being relieved of his duties or having his contract extended.

Wisconsin (14-6) vs. Nebraska (13-7) Game Thread

I just read a game review from the Suns and Spurs. One line read that the Spurs "shot only 47.8% in the 4th quarter while the Suns shot 71%". What we would GIVE to shoot 47.8%!! -

Besides AW3, who has done this? Maybe I'm drawing a huge blank, but I recall nobody else. -

This x1000. There's a reason some of us were incredibly upset when we blew the Minnesota and Maryland games while others played it off like it was no big deal. Those games showed me and some others that there was some underlying problem with this team's ability to sustain success. -

I was telling a friend that this team reminds me of the 11-12 Illinois team with Meyers leonard. In doc's last year, we destroyed them in lincoln, and leonard was crying. They were really highly ranked early if I recall, then fell apart and weber was fired. -

I thought we gave great effort, but our guys have got to put the f'n ball in the f'n hoop. Watson and Palmer can't go 1-12 from 3 or 7-29 combined overall and expect us to win. I can't put much of this game on the coaches. And we need shot makers badly on this team. Amir Harris has yet to take a jump shot (unless I missed something this year). I love his athleticism, but that's about it right now. Tough to win when you don't have pure shooters. One could argue that 2 of our 3 best pure shooters are walk-on's (Costello and Trueblood). How does that happen? Once again, the bench gave us practically nothing in the score column (3 late by Thor). Hopefully a couple more practices will allow the staff to craft a good game plan for the remainder of the season with the latest lineup tweaks due to Cope's injury. I did like the energy Thor brought and would like to see him become the 6th man. -
For someone with more time on their hands, I wonder if it's possible to see the points we give up per possession in man versus 1-3-1. I know there are ways to beat the 1-3-1, but with our depth issues, plus the fact we have great length, I still believe it might be our best shot down the stretch. Hell, we've been getting beat in man, and we rebound poorly regardless of man or zone, what could it hurt.

Wrong sport, but great speech. GBR

I read some more damning stuff last night regarding this topic, we might have simliar sources.

Who do you think will replace Cope in the lineup? I personally want to see us truly embrace small ball, starting Nana at the 4, and playing almost exclusively 1-3-1. Guessing we go with Tanner though.

What's really frustrating is that last year's team was as good, if not better. It's too bad the B1G got no respect and, in turn, we didn't either. When you think about what we lost, you had to figure we could possibly struggle. We basically lost an entire lineup that was as good as most Doc Sadler starting lineups: Jordy, Duby, Jack, Anton, and Evan. We replaced those guys essentially with Tanner (played some last year), Nana (hardly played at all last year), Amir (been sick, true freshman), and Brady (undersized weight-wise, true freshman, hasn't done much since 9-5 at Minnesota). I think last year's squad would beat this team more times than not. Now, Watson, Copeland, and Allen are playing better than last year, but I'm not so sure about Roby or Palmer (at least not Palmer as of late)

Roby is slowly becoming the Toney McCray of the Tim Miles era -
Tough one tonight, but here's my positive take. Outside of Tom (and Cope in the 1st half), our starters played poorly on offense. Shots were not falling and we fell in love with the 3 when it just wasn't falling. Lots of good looks, but I'd like to see us love the rim more. However, we also were not getting many calls going to the rim. Having said all that, we were still right there all the way to the end! Our defense, for the most part, was great, outside of letting Winston torch us. He made Watson look bad, which sucks because I don't think he is much better than Glynn, but he sure looked it tonight. Had we shot 30% from 3, we probably win, so that is encouraging. Now is the time to go on a run.
