  1. I must've misunderstood what you meant. I thought you heard or saw something specific to a team dispute after this game.
  2. I will add that we don't get good rhythm shot opportunities like other teams, and when we do, our guys hesitate, pump fake, or dribble nowhere.
  3. Yep, we got royally F'd last year. Sweet 16 at least IMO.
  4. Talked about this with lots of people lately. During the okie state game, the announcers were saying we maybe had the best starting 5 in conference, which probably makes you top 10 in the nation starting lineup-wise good. Copeland goes down, and our starting lineup and team head to the cellar of the league somehow. Just goes to show that most good teams have another 4 or 5 star ready to go, and we have to turn to a former walk-on football recruit (no offense to Tanner).
  5. We were ranked starting the month of January. Just when you think we've seen it all as Husker fans, our basketball program has to go and F'n one up us. At 13-4 after Indiana, we were probably all thinking "even we can't screw up at least being a bubble team come March". And then came a huge middle finger to us fans from the basketball gods. The effort tonight, I have no words for. James can't shoot, finish, or defend. Roby still doesn't know how good he should be (may never get there), and Watson and Allen are so inconsistent.
  6. And I thought I hated VAGGGGGNER...this freshman is gonna annoy the shit outta me until he goes pro.
  7. If you drank every time Roby pump faked an open 3 pointer, you'd be drunk by halftime.
  8. I think we weather the storm a bit better. IMO, Copeland was our best player, as well as our most efficient.
  9. One could argue Nee was close. Exhibit A: NIT championship team. Exhibit B: 0-5 in the tourney. Both underachieved with the talent they have/had.
  10. Here's my $0.02 on a new hire. If we go the route of firing Miles, Moos needs to have somebody that is a proven winner, and by that I mean they've actually won games in the tournament. An analogy I thought of was the lottery. If you fire Miles and hire somebody that is the next flavor of the month but unproven, you're throwing away a lottery ticket without checking the winning numbers and hoping that your new ticket is going to produce the winning ones. We have a guy who loves it here, wants to be here, and is a great recruiter. If we don't have somebody that checks those boxes better than Miles, then I say retain him. For a football comparison, look at what the administration (different people, I know, but still it was the University's cash-cow and most proven sport) did over the years after Osborne. I will give Solich a pass since he was handpicked by Osborne. But after that, Callahan, Pelini, and Riley had no proven track record at the college football level. Look how those three staffs turned out. Obviously the jury is still out on Frost, but at least he is a local legend, took a Central Florida team that was recently down and brought them back, and won a major bowl game. So football and basketball have both recently chose candidates that were unproven at the college level, and both programs haven't had the success the fan base wants/deserves/etc. If we fire Miles, I pray it's not a situation like Callahan where we either didn't have a coach better than Solich waiting or our proven candidates told us no.
  11. It's really sad to think that our highest HS recruit ever (Watson) probably never makes the tourney. Just another very Nebrasketball thing to have happen to our program. I think when the Bible was written, it originally had a chapter titled "Nebraska Basketball and its fans will forever suffer".
  12. Red Don, Bugeaters1, anywhere else there, drive safe!
  13. Doc's 6'5" and under crew were better rebounders. 16 offensive rebounds in the 2nd half, are you freaking kidding me.
  14. Purdue...the Creighton of the B1G...bunch of douchebags.
  15. Hawks (and anyone) bringing up the whole " should've proved the NCAA wrong in the NIT last year...Shut up, please. No one cares about the NIT, and last year's champ just won their 10th game last night.
  16. Don't look now, but Purdue only scored 48 at Indiana, shot in the 30s for a percentage, and Edwards was 4-24 (0-10 from 3). So it makes perfect sense we would be their next opponent SMH.
  17. Some of us were scared at the way we gave away the Minnesota and Maryland games early on. Seems that we were justified in those fears. We are a mentally fragile team.
  18. Yes, exactly. I brought this up a couple weeks back, and this is the perfect game example, as we were also bad that year, with Sadler getting fired like Weber. Now Miles and Chambers will probably both be fired.
  19. While I still hold out hope that we somehow pull off a miracle, I have one main request if we go the route of a new coach: CONFIDENT SHOOTERS. It's pathetic to watch the last place team confidently shoot 3's like the Warriors, while we are the most hesitant-looking group of good players I have maybe every witnessed.
  20. Funny you say that, because I was telling a friend today I could see us playing better in those 2 games versus an empty pathetic environment tonight. I hope I'm right.
  21. Bullshit, their effort sucked by D1 standards, as did the coaches. Equal blame all around. 95 points to PSU. Let that sink in.
  22. I watched part of the game, felt bad for him. You could tell he was in bad pain.
