Lol...Ohio State has now hit rock bottom after losing to Nebraska. Hell, they have no clue what rock bottom looks like...yet. https://share.newsbreak.com/2uh0n4t0

Way back when...the Iowa girls played 6 player basketball. Three played offense, 3 on defense. Archaic as hell...yes. That said, it outdrew boys basketball. But I digress or meandered off my topic. I remember a halftime hall of fame presentation. My dad and I noticed the same concern...each and every woman who walked to center court was limping. Everyone of them. Why?

Ohio State (10-7) vs. Nebraska (9-9) Game Thread

I have been watching this kid in pregame for two years. He definitely has the offensive skills necessary to succeed. He needs to continue to add bulk...but if you remember what he looked like when he got here he has made tremendous strides. -
At 18 game mark - are we where we thought we would be?

I believe you can also get the pulse of the program by reading tweets from our AD. He seems to favor the direction this team has taken. -
unelinstu's postgame chatter: vol 15, ed 19: Ohio State

The fans that were there were true fans and were fully invested. I am not calling out any of our other fans by any means. The forecast was dismal and it could have been deadly. But those who came were all in and it showed. -

Yeah, I was directly in line and was going ape poop because my favorite ref blew the original call. Glad they did the right thing on replay. -
Read this article earlier today. I guess it didn't surprise me, but it is alarming. In football, many linemen wear braces to prevent knee injuries. Helmets and other protections are constantly designed or redesigned to reduce or prevent injuries. I hope studies are in the works that could assist in reducing lower extremity injuries.

I think I heard that Ohio State is one the most offensive efficient team in the country. We sure had something to do with knocking them down a notch or two tonight. -

This was a nice team win. A lot of good things from the players and coach. I won't say this often, but Fred needed to get that technical in that situation. That one ref was horrible and needed to be put on notice. I sure as hell hope that the conference reviews his calls in this game. Whew, needed that off my chest. It was a bit ugly, but we will take the win and move on. Great job men! -
Was at the men's game, so missed this one. Nice win ladies!

I will give credit where credit is due. Two of the referees were fine. The third one however, had to be on the take. He was HORRIBLE! -

Ended up with a decent crowd that was pretty boisterous. Especially when that Jack wagon referee kept making insanely horrific calls. A*****e -

About ten minutes ago, the weather rolled into Lincoln. Rain, sleet and ice falling right now. Game travel may prove interesting as it coincides with post-work travel (rush hour is really not a thing in Lincoln ) -
Yet the soccer thread remains in the Husker Basketball forum...which is fine...but it seems a bit "strange." Hey, I do not envy your responsibility and the time it takes. I appreciate your efforts.

Yeah, Blaise has looked totally out of sorts since his return. It doesn't count, but I vote that he doesn't play until he is 100%. I am good with Oleg picking up five minutes each half. -
It is sometimes difficult to measure the correct responses and/or feelings in today's environment. For example, does the belief of innocent until proven guilty still exist? Does it exist for all alleged crimes, or just certain crimes? I sort of believe that today, one is guilty until it is proven that you are innocent. As a result, the allegation will stain a person with the figurative Scarlet letter. Shoot, as soon as it hits social media (which is immediately) people take sides with rigid opinions. If what Beard is alleged to have done is true, it is reprehensible and he should not be allowed to lead a basketball team again. If he is innocent...well heck, a significant number of people will still ostracize him. It is a conundrum, with no easy answer. A great reputation can take years earn, but seconds to be destroyed. Bottom line, whether innocent or guilty, Chris Beard could never work at Nebraska. BUT, Mickey Joseph could, IF, he would be found innocent. WHY, because he is a "Nebraskan" who has earned our trust. I am not sure if this makes sense or not, but in my disintegrating mind, it kind of does.

I am hearing that "his name" will instead be "her name" -- just saying it is a distinct possibility.

There is a physical and a psychological component to the injury, surgery and recovery. Often, the surgical component is the easiest (with work) to recover from. The hardest is the psychological portion. We shall see.

Any updates on Juwan Gary's status for Friday?
Huskerpapa replied to jimmykc's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Very well could relate to the shooting death at Alabama. I assume Juwan knew/played with the young man invoved. -
I would assume Juwan would know this dude. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/35455668/alabama-basketball-player-darius-miles-charged-capital-murder-shooting?linkId=197378325
