  1. Yes, I will probably be totally pumped until I see Petteway throw up a brick from 3 using form that would make Norm cringe, or Biggs play phantom defense, or Smith get stuffed by Vooch b/c he is really on 6'6", or Fuller get blown by when playing defense b/c he has lead feet, or Tai dribble the ball of his leg 5 times in a row . . . WAIT! SORRY! I MUST NOT GO THERE! I am just so conditioned after 12 years of Collier and Doc to expect the worst b/c the new "recruits" never lived up to the hype. It is a hard habit to break when it has been ingrained in your head year after year after year. Will this be the year to break the curse? Yes, One of these years (This One) we're going to be a whole hell of alot better than maybe even the most sunshine and rainbow fans want to believe. I'd bet my naked picture of Bob Devaney on it!
  2. I laughed, I cried it was BETTER than Cats! I want to see it again and again.
  3. Husker Heaven (apologies to store on 90th & Fort).
  4. Yes & Yes. What is really refreshing is filling out 10 names and not one of them played at a class B school.
  5. People use to give me s**t at work whenever the Football team lost. Now they don't even mention it.
  6. Now that the football team has provin' itself irrelevant before the first frost, I too am looking forward to what should be a special Basketball season. Historically, (especially lately) whenever the football team plays someone their equal or better, they lose. The cagers, even in their down years, almost always spring an upset. Go Big Miles, and Go Big Red!
  7. You know where he can stick his "tepid forward progress".
  8. It's hard to argue with rules used at the old Men's P.E. building.
  9. Looks like they ran out of ideas and went with the least offensive option. We deserve better.
  10. We finish AT LEAST 6th. And no I haven't been drinking Old Crow, Nyquil or anything else for that matter.
  11. When we win the B1G Tournament next spring, I hope I'm sitting next to the dips**t who came up with this list.
  12. I miss your old Avatar 49r, did you ever eat breakfast at Cecil's across the street?
  13. Bring back the Black (back in black?) from circa '91 when we punk'd KU in the Big 8 Tournament.
  14. Dead last, Really? Crow, like revenge, is a dish best served cold.
  15. This speaks to the ridiculous success of our football program more than our lack of success in hoops. If you take our 0 NCAA wins at face value you would assume we're "just bad". But, the football team has won more games than ANYONE the last 50 years, and the basketball teams posted winning records more often than not. So there.
  16. As someone who's lived in Mpls. the last 20 years, let's think about this for a minute. Nothing says "We Suck" more than building a brand new football stadium in a Metro area of 3 million that only seats 45,000. AND they couldn't even sell it out in year one. Oh, and are record in basketball during that same time frame against the mighty Gophers is close to .500. Lazy journalism
  17. I know it's stating the obvious, but winning will take care of everything. BTW I HATE the fact they play music during every moment of down time during the football games. It's like having a TV at every gas pump. Please just make it STOP!
  18. Let's also remember alot of the teams we lost to in the Conference last year won't be NEARLY as good as they have been. That should be worth another 4-5 wins. Yes?
  19. Put me down for 10 Non-Conference wins AND 10 in Conference. Dust off those dancin' shoes Huskers, you're headed back to the Big Dance!
  20. I find your lack of faith, disturbing........... FGC, Miami and even Creighton I think are very winnable games.
  21. When he threw up 50 in the Title game against Hastings, everyone thought we had the next Isaiha Thomas. Had a good but unspectacular career at Iowa.
  22. Any chance of a Crale Bauer or Bart Kofed sighting?
  23. What do you think Scalpers will be getting on the street this year? All speculation appreciated.
  24. Yes, all of that is spot on. I believe we are entering a "Golden Age" for Husker hoops and I do think all 4 coaches are mostly to very safe. The one with the shortest leash could be...............Pelini.
  25. It will be interesting to see how long Mr. Eichorst will remain in the shadows. If one of these programs heads south, how willing will he be to step in and put his "stamp" on the Dept.?
