Probably common knowledge to most on here, but Pike is the career leader in 3's for the Clippers. Holding a franchise record, regardless of who the team is, quite an accomplishment. Good for Tyronn!

I'll be happy if he's a poor mans' Tony Farmer

That means a whopping 97% of the population are dumbsh**s!

After spending a week in Lincoln hanging out at the Zoo Bar, I was further reminded what a special place the Star City is. Just wonderful people , good times and an optimism around town the I haven't seen in awhile. Like they say, Husker Pride, Nationwide!

I like to think we'll have a roster up to the challenge, I'm excited to see if Webster is as good as advertised.

If anyone is going to the Paladins/Junior Brown show on Friday let's party. Ol' Handy will be wearing a blue collared "Bad Brains" shirt. Stop by and say "hi" and we can break down the new season and all things Husker Hoops related!

Don't forget...Coach Hunter isn't the *only* new guy today...
Handy Johnson replied to 49r's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
What show is that? Might want to go hunt those podcasts... It is a TV show on at 9:30 Sunday nights, locally ch. 8 Twin Cities. It is hosted by Mike Max with a panel of Sid Hartman, Patrick Reusse, and Lavelle E. Neal III, all columnists for the Star Trib. They debated this topic at length, and believed that Osborne's crowning achievement might be the facilities upgrades he left behind. All of them were fearful of what lies ahead for an unsuspecting B1G. Doubtful if there is a podcast, but give it a shot. -

A local sports show here in Mpls. was commenting on the Huskers arrival to the Big 10 and how they were fearful of our impending dominance. Minnesota kids visit Lincoln and are blown away by the facilities, not just Baseball and Football, but now Basketball as well. A new, sold-out arena has only peaked the level of paranoia here in loserville U.S.A. Exciting times for Husker hoops, with only better days ahead! -
Tranquility Base here. The Eagles has landed...

Randy Meisner of "Already Gone" fame is a native of Scottsbluff. He's actually wearing a Husker T-shirt on the back of his first solo record. ( so there's your local angle for the "one of us" crowd). -
Reason # 2354 why I don't like to watch the NBA
Handy Johnson replied to Silverbacked1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I watch a lot of Timberwolves games, so I guess I haven't really been watching the NBA for awhile either. -
What does ISU stand for? I Screwed Up

Heard them once and I liked what I heard. I am into the old stuff or the Outlaw stuff. Not so much what you get on the local country radio. Like I am really stoked that Junior Brown is playing Zoofest. I only listen to Country pre-1980, and TBT is the goods. Considered a "bluegrass" band, the water runs much deeper than that. Junior Brown and that GuitSteel never disappoint live. Rock on Big Red Faithful! That's because in Superior that's the only music you can get. I have worked in Superior and the radio sucks. So glad I have sirius that makes it better. I'll have you know Superior is the smallest city in the State with it's own radio station. Take that Trumbull!

Williams IIRC, Jimmy Williams has himself in hot water with the NCAA.... He sued the U of M when Tubby Smith offered him a job and the AD made him re-sind it due to Williams prior stint under Jim Dutcher (agreed by all as a low point for the program) He was awarded 1.2 million for lost wages. Any violations were well before his first coaching job at Nebraska. If there is something new then it is not common knowledge. Went to the MN Supreme Court, they sided with the UofM. Williams will not be gettting a cent.

It's hip, it's now, it's "with it" and all the talking heads will slobber over the "Dunk Fest" coming to Lincoln. I for one, couldn't be more thrilled. Nicely done Big Red!

Most fans, regardless of the sport, are of the casual variety. it's more of a Social thing for them or an "outing". I have never understood though, sitting through almost an entire game and leaving before the outcome has been decided. You are right Norm, the culture created breeds success. Or, as they say, "Build it & he will come".

Well, "back when I was at the U" you could get Old Style kegs for $20.

This is only the beginning. Believe me now and hear me later. Cornhusker basketball is like a runaway beer truck headed downhill with NO brakes. Just wait 'til Izzo loses his 1st game in that sold out arena.

Nebraska to only play Iowa once next year
Handy Johnson replied to hhcmatt's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Does that mean our "storied" rivalry with Rutgers goes down twice? Oh how I long for the symmetry of playing 7 other teams home & home, all within hating/driving distance. -
What about the "Hey Market"? It's catchy, pointlessly ironical, and easy to type when you're hammered.
