  1. No Honorable Mention for Ray-Ray? That's somewhat surprising. He can always use that as Bulletin Board material over the summer I guess.
  2. Any clue what students tickets will be going for? I think I paid around 42 bucks back when a guy named Iba was the Coach.
  3. What about Shaka going to the 'Cuse? Somehow I see him sticking on the East Coast.
  4. Cornhuskers 62 Purdue 58 ...and please let Andre put an elbow in Byrd's teeth if he drives the lane.
  5. Does anyone else remember how "Willy the Wildcat" would make a dunk during warm-ups, in full costume? Always impressive.
  6. People assume Shaka might come to MN simply because of his connection with Teague. That isn't reason enough to make a lateral move in my opinion. He very well might be able to pick his spot, but I think he is overselling one good tourney run.
  7. Cornhuskers - 65 Hawkeyes - 57
  8. That was '94 Mizzou my friend, with Javon Crudup back in the old Big 8. We knocked 'em off in the Semis when they were ranked third in the Nation.
  9. Tubby has never finished higher than 6th in the Conference, OR posted a winning record in Conference. Gopher fans were shocked when he came up here from Kentucky and feared he viewed this as a "soft landing" with little pressure. They were right. The fact Rodney Williams, Austin Hollins, and Joe Coleman (who never shot) didn't score against us is the main reason why they lost, yet Tubby blames it on the Meat Grinder of a schedule.
  10. During his postgame radio interview, Tubby lamented that "The B1G schedulers didn't do the Gophers any favors". Their last 3 games will be PSU, Nebraska, and Purdue. This is why people in the Twin Cities want him GONE.
  11. Gophers losing at Purdue is hardly a stretch. I'm with Royalfan though, don't want to see the rodents again in the Tourney.
  12. I haven't seen enough of our Redshirts or incoming frosh to REALLY have a handle on what they'll bring. Usually 1 or 2 two surprise, a couple more are overhyped, and some fall through the cracks. That being said, the X factor is WHO will start in the post or play Center? That could be the difference between 5 or 10 wins.
  13. Can someone hand me a tissue...
  14. What a tremendously satisfying win for those Seniors & Husker fans everywhere. As a Big Red Alum living in the Twin Cities this "W" will be the gift that just keeps on giving!
  15. Cubs Fans? Vikings Fans? They got nuthin' on us. And yes, someday all of THIS will come to a fruition.
  16. Saw Curtis Moore Dunk on Barry Stevens (ISU) in the first game I ever attended at the Devaney. Moore was listed @ 6'4" but played WAY above the rim, certainly a fan favorite.
  17. 1. I'm assuming the last 2 guys Miles signs will be impact players, with one of them starting in the post. 2. Adding 3-4 REAL shooters on this team will make a huge difference. 3. The B1G won't be as top heavy next year & looses players like Paul, Thomas, Oladeipo & Zeller. If each of those factors is worth a +2 in wins, that gets you to 10 from where we are now. Plus, I live in Mpls. and am tired of taking s**t about our Basketball team.
  18. Hear me NOW and believe me later. We win 10 games in Conference and put our dancin' shoes back on. You're splitting hairs discussing wins over the dregs of the league. WE will become the opponent people fear, not vice versa.
  19. It's hard to imagine a scenario where you're bench is outscored by nearly 40 points and you win the game. Wasn't trying to be cryptic or bag on anyone. I just saw that number and was stunned.
  20. Why isn't Three Dog Night in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? And yet Public Enemy and Rush make it in this year...
  21. Our bench was outscored 38-0. Any questions?
  22. I'd vote for Talley. He went "man up" with one of the best scorers in the League and held him relatively in check. Some of those shots Paul hit in the 2nd half were downright silly.
  23. Like my pops always told me, "keep that thing in your pants and you'll stay outta trouble".
  24. Andre has always struck me as " the Big Kid" who was pushed into playing Basketball, even though he was never really that interested in it.
