Until Ferrell scores 35 I won't be impressed
-
If these last few games are anything like the rest of his career here, I could see you putting him up with those names. He keeps on playing like this and he'll be in the NBA no doubt.

Still would have taken Agau.

To pass the time until Wednesday, I thought we could discuss a bit about postseason awards. As discussed in other threads, Terran Petteway is deserving looks at All Big Ten teams at the end of the year. My question is what team does he end up making? I would assume that the team would consist of a PG, two 2/3 players, a 4, and a 5. So based on that, Petteway would have to be the top 2 in the 2/3 category to make 1st team. Other players at his position that may challenge him? Nik Stauskas Gary Harris Roy Marble Tim Frazier I don't see any other players out there that might be in that list. I could be missing some, though. They could do something like Ferrell and Appling together, though. Based on that list I would see Stauskas (The player of the year in the Big Ten in my opinion) and Gary Harris above him. Those two would be on the first team. I don't see both Marble and Frazier or any other guy above Petteway for the 2nd team though. I think that since he is playing so well in big moments and carrying a team predicted to finish last to what could be a great 2nd half of conference, he deserves to be at the bare minimum a 2nd team member. Obviously, there are a lot of games left to be played, but based on right now, Petteway would be robbed if he isn't 2nd team. What do you guys think?

I more have a problem with the Scarlets taking all the energy out of the arena for those 2 minutes. For football I absolutely cannot stand drum line between 3rd and 4th quarter

To get to 18 wins before the conference tourney, we'd need 7 more wins than we have right now.We already have 3 wins in conference. If we somehow manage to find 7 more wins (and I am not for a moment saying we will) then we'll be at 10-8 in the conference and that would put us squarely in the top half of the league. And then a win in the Big 10 tourney? I cannot for a moment imagine that we would be excluded from the NCAA tourney if we obtained that kind of resume. Not that we will. But if we did. Just sayin. What would that take? Win all 5 home games left vs Illinois, northwestern, Purdue, penn state, and Wisconsin? Also 2 road wins vs northwestern and Illinois? It's certainly a long shot, but not impossible. Very very little room for error. A win over michigan would definitely make that more feasible -

I'm rewatching the game right now in btn. That stretch when we has Parker, Rivers, smith, Gallegos, and shields out there was brutal. Let's try to keep away from that lineup -

I don't think he's in the running for POTY. Probably not first team either. The league is just too deep. Maybe 2nd team. We'll have to see. But he could easily be pre-season 1st team all conference going into next season. Dude's leading scorer in the Big Ten. He's absolutely in the running for every award as of today. According to the B1G website, he's third behind Stauskas and Gary Harris from MSU. Stauskas is also tops in the league in 3-pt % and 3-ptrs made and he's also 7th in the league in assists and 4th in assist:turnover ratio. I think he's in the driver's seat for POTY honors. Then, if the 1st team is 5 players, they'll probably stick someone on there from each of the top 3 or 4 teams in the league and, I mean, there's just a lot of very good players in the league who probably get a little more pub or cred or whatever you want to call it because they aren't from Nebraska. We have to win some games first. The best player on a mediocre team isn't going to garner all-conference first team honors even if he is among the league leaders in scoring. Didn't Tim Frazier go 1st team big ten two years ago? I think he won scoring title but penn state wasn't very good. I'm just saying there's a chance -
I thought he might be a guy who coasts on his physical ability but he really has been putting in a lot of effort in addition to being just a great teammate in general. You can really see how invested he is with this team. You're spot on

Everyone quick! Downplay this win!

Shields just beat Fuller in a three point shooting contest, maybe he'll knock a few down tonight. Both were flat stroking though -
There was a bunch of them but Miles Reynolds was a guard that came with that we offered originally. Yup, you're right. Thanks

who was the other guy who came with him and Okafor when Coleman was here? I can't for the life of me remember his name.

Game Day Essentials: Game #20 vs Indiana
doc1394 replied to hhcmatt's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I tried posting this on twitter, but I couldn't get it under 140 characters. The last time before Sunday that the Huskers played Minnesota at home we won the game and stormed the court. We ended up winning on Sunday. The last time we played Indiana at home? We won and stormed the court..... Go Huskers!!!! -
This is going to be one of the most fun B1G tournaments ever. Any team could win it if Michigan state stays hurt

Here is the front runner in the basketball version of "Come up with a reason for Taylor Martinez's foot injury" I heard Benny wanted a bit more playing time, so he's the one who made the final decision. -
Do we know the spread yet?
-
Maybe we can get a FGCU type game out of Parker. Or a game like Minnesota with those two J's.

Great, now we're back to no commits
