The last two times we've started a thread like this, he's came out and had a huge game. 20 pts earlier in a game against a team that I can't remember for the life of me. May have been Ohio State. And then 33 after this one. So I can start one before Sunday, if you guys want.

I don't think I would put Smith in my top 6. I would go: 1. Petteway 2. Shields 3. Pitchford 4. Ray 5. Benny 6. Tai 7. Smith I may be missing some things that he brings to the table, but I just don't see it the last like 10 games.

- Benny was amazing. Favorite player and it isn't even close - Terran with a quiet 16, but he took some questionable shots. They dropped though - Shields was outstanding. 2 big threes early and 15/15 from the stripe? I hope his knee is alright, oh my gosh I hope its alright. - Rebounding was suspect, but Rivers cleaned up some of them - Tai needs to attack the basket more. I don't think he needs to be getting points for others, he needs to attack - Leslee is really good against non-conferene opponents. I'll leave it at that. - Walt with a big three. Played decent defense as well. Came a long way - Pretty decent crowd - Dogs were okay. One of the dogs was miserable. He dropped like 4/6 and then didn't catch a single one of the long balls. May have been the guy throwing it to him, though. - Can't believe we couldn't get Peltz in the game

Terran won the TP vs Ray 3 ball contest. Benny won the tai vs Benny contest, which was significantly less exciting

Went back to search for this thread and finally found it. Funny how Petteway was the 6th leading vote getter. We all had no idea how good that kid is. In the beginning I said, Pitchford, Webster and Gallegos, now I'm thinking Petteway, Pitchford, and probably Shields.

Terran seems like he is a 2 anyway, like he would be playing there if we had more posts and no Ray. That's why I think he starts at 2 next year, shields at 3, and hopefully we can get another post to play at 4 or 5 and let pitch play the other post. Petteway can play almost any position, but he seems most comfortable as a shooting guard

I'm fairly certain he got all 68 teams last year an 67 the year before. Could be wrong though.

He looks like he is in the air a bit too much on some of these passes. May get him in trouble with charges and travels at the next level.

I would probably take out Leslee as well. He's been pretty abysmal over the past games. I would either put in the starting lineup or Benny instead if tai just to put him on defense and strengthen that side.

I've judged him solely on the job he's done based on the position he holds. His biggest moves thus far have been to hire a couple of unnecessary overpaid middle management bean counters instead of paying more to the assistant coaches. Lmao what? Tim Beck salary under Tom Osborne- $ 365,000 Tim Beck salary under Shawn Eichorst- $700,000 So now we are in the business of giving handouts just for the hell of it? What exactly did the assistant coaches due to deserve a raise this past year? If anything, our beef should be with Eichorst giving Els a raise....you know, the guy who can't even put together a punt return unit. Produce...and you will get a raise...plain and simple. That recruiting staff bean counters is more than Tom Osborne ever did to help this staff get over the recruiting hump. Two words: Terry Joseph When TO took over as AD the athletic department was in a financial mess. TO rewarded the loyalty of all the coaches by giving them raises once the financial situation improved. Handouts?!? We went 9-4 last year. They deserved a raise. No bean counter can sign a kid. Money that could have gone to the recruiting budget. Warren is flat out dominating in recruiting right now. Happier with him than Terry Joseph, anyway.

If I remember right, Iowa had a pathetic out of conference schedule. Not really sure about Minnesota, but I think they were doing really well in the beginning of the year and then limped to the end, but their beginning was strong enough to get a bid
