  1. Oregon State is 4-32 against FBS opponents since Riley left. The guy sure left some strong foundations.
  2. That last second, 1 point win against a Purdue team that coached itself out of a victory is Nebraska's only win in the last 10 games. They followed up a 9-1 stretch with a 5-5 stretch and then the current 1-9 stretch.
  3. Yeah, in agreement for the most part. If you're terrible up front, have no depth or experience at QB, are pretty average at RB, and only have a couple WRs this is the type of offense that will get you killed.
  4. Hiring Mike Riley had a worse effect on Nebraska than getting the death penalty had on SMU.
  5. The question is, is he better off in the long run going after a junior season where he averages 12 and 9 or a senior season where he averages 20 and 10. Given the nature of the current NBA, I don't know the answer to that.
  6. Just what the hell do they know? We're going at least two rounds deeper into the tournament than that.
  7. If I remember correctly, when the roster was first posted Amir Harris was listed somewehere around 6'4", 180, now is at 6'6", 205. Karrington Davis was something like 6'5", 185, now he is 6'6", 215.
  8. To be fair, if he had lived in Michigan at the time, he would have voted Nebraska number one. That vote was about proving his impartiality. Also to be fair, millions of people also thought Michigan was better than Nebraska. What those people had in common was that none of them knew much of anything about football. That said, much of the time I felt his work was commendable.
  9. The first time ever that Mike Peltz and George Gervin have been mentioned in the same sentence...
  10. I, for one, am never going to bag on Sack.
  11. Did he have anybody working for him named "Sack"? Dead giveaway if that's the case.
  12. Mikki's height + Curtis's explosiveness + Jack's skills = greatest player in the history of the world. I'd settle for that.
  13. If Roby, with everything he now can do, also had Carl Hayes' abilities to score from 17 feet and in, he would be a lottery pick and be destined to appear in several NBA All-Star games. Similarly if Copeland was as good at rebounding, interior defense, and scoring in the post as Tony Farmer, he'd be a first round pick.
  14. Do the Nittaly Lions ever play at Kaminsky Field?
  15. That's setting the bar kind of high. They could lose a game in Minneapolis in April and I'd still consider it a successful season.
  16. Actually, 3 schools in 6 years, since he's going back to where he started out at. Which, I suppose, is unique, but he could also have become the first player to ever letter at four different Division 1 schools if he'd gone somewhere else.
  17. Well, I am planning on winning several hundred million in a lottery drawing, buying the Chico or whatever the hell its called, and then canceling Creighton's contract and letting UNO play there instead.
  18. I was wondering why the Super Sonics hadn't made the playoffs for a while. Now it all makes sense.
  19. In 2006, with what should have been a pretty good roster with some solid returnees and a decent recruiting class, the top returning player showed up 30 pounds overweight after an offseason regimen of doobies and Big Macs. The program was adrift. No one was in charge.
  20. There's a bigger difference between ORU and ODU than ODU and Nebraska. (Sorry for jumping all over a typographical error.)
  21. They've got another transfer that will be eligible, who averaged 16 as a freshman in the MAC. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4067391/michael-weathers
  22. If Jordy had Smith's knowledge of the game and all of its intricacies, he'd be an all conference type of player.
  23. I may not be remembering correctly, but it seemed that Gallegos was the only one who really moved around when he didn't have the ball, also. Teams had to chase him around all the time. Everybody else on that team seemed to want to wait until they had an isolation play or would just chuck up a 3 when they wanted to. They were a lot easier to defend without Gallegos.
  24. Hopefully Nebraska finds a way to shut him down when they play Kansas on April 6.
