  1. Plus the dude has a bad hairline so you know he's gonna be a great college shooter that's gonna annoy another teams fan base for years
  2. I think is clearly a case where Coach Riley needs to knock on Miles door and says look Tim I really need these two kids you need another shooter this kid isn't so bad , let's work something out. Tim looks at Coach Riley and says ok but you need to get on a plane and go find me a giant that score with his back to the basket and with that they make deal
  3. It's not about feeling better, but if your constantly asking what if , it makes accepting what we have and what we can be much harder. What happened is what happened why revisit it.
  4. Tim Miles is the Head Basketball Coach of The University of Nebraska Dana Altman is the Head Coach of The University of Oregon what if over I see no point in revisionist history, too many variables
  5. At least he doesn't have bad knees. Clean breaks of the tibia are a lot better than rampant knee/pain issues (see Chris Balham). i can attest to that
  6. Hunter Thompson is headed to Creighton. wE are always a step behind on big men.. Just so i know how grizzled to be going forward will the states of Wyoming and South Dakota also be used in the hindsight bias game? I think I have my answer. Not on my account, since I don't like the hindsight bias game anyway. But, in fairness to the kid, he's no stiff. There are things he does in that video I posted, both inside and outside, that I've never seen Jake Hammond do. We're talking about a kid who no one would care about except that he's going to Creighton from a state that borders Nebraska in a thread about a Nebraska kid no one would care about except that he's beaten almost everyone's expectations at a Summit League school. I get why this is conversation is taking place but it's a lot more Omaha talk radio than it is relevant on whether we're going to win a NCAA tournament game because I don't think anyone mentioned in this thread will be playing in the NBA. In other words, I'm ok with Miles and Co. swinging for the fences in KC, Chicago, etc and missing on the occasional Nebraska prospect because over-focusing on our state is going to get him fired. I wish i could give this more up votes
  7. We need all the Ade, and Tai we can get so if that's an accurate comparison than I think we have a good ball player coming in, I'm still not sure on Wingett I don't think he'd walk on but I also don't know if he warrants a scholarship.
  8. This kid is gonna be a good one, maybe not day one, but i have a feeling the learning curve will not be steep
  9. didn't hurt them did you? If I remember you are a big guy right? Haha yes I'm pretty big guy. Super nice kids tho glad I got to see them I tell them how much fight they gave this season
  10. Ran into Benny , Tai, and Jake H. downtown last night . Man do we need to get get some good weight on Jake pronto.
  11. I like Dakich just because is different, he will get after the refs if they make bad calls, he will say just completely random things that only he notices, but once he says you notice it and just adds the right amount of wackiness to what can be a stale broadcast. He and Tirico are one of my favorite announcing combos.
  12. but in all seriousness, i want to believe this...but i am also fearful of a good long con, april fools prank...tis the season
  13. i did....and i cried for a min...sadness
  14. So NCAA is doing the right thing and letting Oakfor back to school...good he will be a nice addition next year
  15. I like the direction of the program, we are recruiting as well as we can, within the confines of the rules of the NCAA, and what are program has done so far. It started by just getting Jahlil Oakafor on campus, yes he said there was never a chance but he still at least came and visited, now we are getting kids that are choosing NU over established schools, the next battle and the game changer is when we get the one kid that's top 20 to top 5 that's says no to the blue bloods, and says i want to make my own legacy, i want to put NU on the map that's the game changer and were getting close. Its still a celebration when we get top 150 talent, but its not a stop the presses, take the day off moment it was a few years ago. When you a build a program like Miles is doing, from as talent-less as we were to the point that where we are going it takes years, if can a program overnight, its usually not being down the right way and your sacrificing something, whether its academics, long term success, class fluidity, or morality your sacrificing something.
  16. http://www.neprepzone.com/sports/division-i-prospect-wingett-winnebago-don-t-skip-a-beat/article_a83f978e-696b-553b-a35e-cfa0284d719c.html It will be interesting to see how the staff chooses to play this one, Wingett clearly likes NU, and has talent, but does he have talent enough to warrant a (commit able)scholarship offer over other 2017 prospects from outside the state.
  17. Given Shavon's post Nebraska basketball aspirations both in Professional Basketball, and in the professional field (doctor i believe, or at least some with heavy basis in research since his major is Biological Science), and given all the studies in degenerative brain diseases that come from concussion and even concussion like episodes, i'm fully pro Shavon take as much time as he needs to get back to full health, and to live a healthy life.
  18. I think Roby may start for the simple reason, that if we can't get a big man, do we keep trying to run traditional sets, or do we have white or Roby at the 4, and run more 5 out sets and see if we just can't outrun teams. Idk I prefer if we could get a big man, to allow morrow and Jacobsen more time at the 4
  19. Really like the development of Jacobsen he's finally getting over his injury from the off-season and is getting comfortable and man is he showing his skill set, an off season of strength and development plus continued work on his jump shot, he's going to be a problem for teams next year
  20. Man that was scary, just got home from some youth basketball games turned the TV on to Shavon lying on the court, couldn't watch the replays, just so scared, only thing I can remember of recent to that situation was Zach Darlington getting knocked out in his high school game that was shown on ESPN right after he committed So glad Shavon has movement, thoughts n prayers for his recovery
  21. Jimmer fredette has the lateral quickness of a blue whale, if the spurs couldn't find a way to get any production out of him no NBA can. White and korver are light years ahead on defense
  22. Im still wondering why we havent applied for a grant gibbs eighth year scholarship for Lance Jeter, Brandon Ubel .. Jorge techinally could apply as well
  23. Neither does Kyle Korver NBA coaches are really really really good at hiding people on defense, if you can stroke the 3ball, they'll figure out away to make you look passable on D
  24. i wonder about Terran just because Glynn, TP, White, Shields would be a dyamic open court tandem and i think could do some special things. But if terran stays, i dont think we see the development of Tai Webster, nor do we some some of the encouraging things from Glynn, Michael Jacobsen, or the even the development of Benny who is looking for his shot more. As far as Walt goes...there isnt anything i think he could provide this team with consistency over guys like Jacobsen and Morrow and Fuller, i'll take them every day and twice on sunday.
  25. a solid hard foul and that kids not getting dunked on again...
