  1. Agree, agree, agree.....I try to make this point as often as I can. For how average we have been for so long, we really do have a pretty doggone decent following of loyal fans.
  2. Watched about half of it....pretty heady, nice touch, good passer, lots of blocks, good motor, average hops (?). What do you guys see? Kansas has offered....well I guess that's good enough. Go get him coach !!
  3. I don't think this is any coincedence at all. Atewe alluded to the same thing ( the upfront honesty ). I hope this pays dividends in the kind of guys we get and of course I really hope that it translates into success as well.
  4. Sure glad I got my tickets when I did !! Sounds like they are going fast. I'm just really looking forward to the fresh start of the Pinnacle. I'm hoping most everybody buys into their own little responsibility of willing the Huskers on and making it a great place to be.
  5. The shorts look almost normal length by today's standards as near as I can tell. Obviously over time they kept getting shorter until MJ got us going the other direction....it is he who gets the credit for that right ?
  6. He's a 2 years to play 2 guy. The free article linked over on the recruiting board says he redshirted his true Fr year at SMU 2010-11. Then played a year there 2011-12. Then played his Soph year ( sports wise ) at Juco this past season.
  7. Didn't the formerly recruited Mathew say something about his in home visit last week reguarding the NU coaches honesty with him? It sounded like he really took note of that. I don't necessarily want to assume too much, but maybe that factored in... ie he wasn't reallly promised much and didn't accept the challenge. We would have to assume Leslee received the same talk and accepted that challenge. I'm thinking Miles is serious when he talks of his expections and does't want "needy" players.
  8. "The atmosphere is lovely" speaking of his time in Lincoln with the team etc. I like that quote. He might as well have been referring to the flowers outside of the Hendricks Training Complex.....I kid, I kid. In all seriousness, he seems like a thoughful young man and I'm glad we have him. Not b/c he's thoughtfull but b/c he big and strong mostly. Sound like he just needs to get that motor running high.
  9. edit--nevermind.... I was confused on why the thread was locked...I guess there is one over on the main board now, although I don't think that's why the original got locked. I'd better get over there and catch up on things
  10. I find the flip flops and denials and backtracking a bit unnerving and annoying b/c I want the dude to really want to be here and be excited about being here. By gum if he does end up here, I hope he is all N--big time. Why do I have the feeling that tomorrow won't end anything. Signing day ain't 'til the 17th for crying out loud....I'm thinking this thread may stretch to 100 pages. And, I'm sure I won't miss any of it if it does
  11. Thanks Kamdy....that makes some sense. Although I think in this day and age a few extra players would be all a team could get as you'd just have too many guys wanting to play and not enough PT to go around anyway and players would transfer out.
  12. I've heard this before. Probably some good reason for that ? Doesn't seem to be on the surface. So, if you can afford to pay your own way or are willing to pile up loans, you can play. But, if you are smart enough or have worked hard enough ( probably both and go hand in hand ) to earn an academic schollie, you can't play ? What is wrong with how I'm thinking of this, seems odd to me.
  13. Just curious how the costs aligned. Not sure if this is what you mean, but they match the prices I gave above I'm pretty sure. I think it said something about the lower bowl being full. I would guess a few of those people in the lower bowl will back out before having to pay the donation/deposit and those seats will become available. Others have speculated that they are holding some back for whatever reason.
  14. By the way, and I'd assume this is for somebody who is only now inquiring about tickets, you can go over to Huskers.com and see what is available ( specific seats and sections ) and make a purchase. I'd assume that means that all the people on the waiting list are now accounted for.
  15. Just to fill in/add to a bit on what uneblinstu said.... Your "normal" seats in 100 are $18 per game, looks like all of 200 is $11 per game and 300 is all $5 per game. Thanks for the rest of the story, lang. And I guess I should add that those are season ticket prices. I know for several years now you could buy a "cheap seat" SEASON ticket at the Devaney for $5 a ticket. But, if you bought for an individual game at the window, it was at least $10, for conference games anyway. Not sure what the markup was on higher level tickets. All that to say that I assume individual prices are likely higher at all the levels, but I'm not 100% sure and how much higher if so.

  17. IIRC, his original first name was Rodell. His nickname was House. I want to say he officially changed his name to House while at CU ??
  18. Late 1990 of the 1990-91 season is when we crushed CU like a bug. However they won a game or two in the dance that year IIRC and we still haven't..... Man, for the Husker hoops fan in my era the 90-91loss in the tourney and 93-94 loss in the tourney have to be our equivalent to the 1984 Orange Bowl.
  19. Bill was tall. (And had bad acne as I recall.) You are thinking of Dave McFarlane from Plattsmouth Ahh, those were the days. Nebraska's version of the Twin Towers---Dave MacFarlane and Lance Berwald! Yea and I don't think either played much and both transferred out ? IIRC, Lance had a pretty nice career wherever he ended up. Were they both from NE ? For the sake of throwing out tall guy's names that never played much here and transferred out... remember Victor Chacon (sp?) ?
  20. I wonder how he is going to keep all of them happy with enough PT ?
  21. I can't remember, will there acutally be "seats" in the student sections or just a place to stand ? From the model, it looks like a place to stand only. Not sure how accurate that is as it also shows students on 3 sides.
  22. I appreciate them Dave, keep them coming. It's always good to see what others are saying and your thoughts give us a foundation, a starting point to debate from. Of course, YOU have to have thick skin...I couldn't do it.
  23. I feel bad for Andre. He just didn't fit into coach's plans as the year wore on.
