  1. 19-12 and even going one and out in the tournament gets us in IMO. I'm not sure how we get to 19 wins though. Not sure Miles knows how to or can stop the bleeding.
  2. 1. Kenya was leaving regardless IMO 2. Xavier Johnson would not be nearly as good under Miles, although I would still gladly take him over a guard that is not willing or can't take a jumper. 3. Considering how the season has gone, Moos not buying Miles stock appears to be a good move
  3. For sure he's not making 900K right now. I bet he's also not slated to make 2.5 million next year. Miles made 500K more than him right off the bat. That's a pretty good chunk of change compared to coaching at a school that doesn't appear to be very serious about basketball. They averaged just over 7K last year in attendance. People just don't care. Maybe that will change if they build a winner but I'm choosing Nebraska over Penn St if I have more resources, getting paid more money, and have more support.
  4. If the bidding war starts at 1Million I feel pretty good about our chances. Tim Miles is projected to make 2.5 million next year. If we get serious about trying to land someone not from a mid major it would not surprise me to see us offer 3 Million a year. I can't speak for the reputation but I'm not so sure Penn St is considered in higher regard than Nebraska. 1. For the reason above and 2. As of last year they were last in the Big 10 in spending for basketball. If PSU is not willing to get serious about basketball I'm not sure they will be all that attractive.
  5. The sickening thing is, the bubble seems very weak. I mean, last update Lunardi still had Creighton listed in the first four out and our resume is quite a bit better. This team needs to find a way somehow someway to get to 9-11 in conference play. Find a way to win out at home and get one of PSU/Illinois on the road. Not sure if that's doable considering how horrible this team was in the month of JAN.
  6. None of that will matter if Penn St doesn't actually pony up. Last listed salary for Chambers that I can find had him at 900K a year. Sorry, Nebraska is going to be far more attractive to coaches if we are offering double to triple the pay.
  7. McDermott is not the answer if that's what you are insinuating. Not saying I wouldn't take him over Miles, I would. But, I don't see his style of play working out very well here.
  8. Effective FG%- Where we rank by team in conference play under Tim Miles We have yet to finish in the top half of the conference in this department. Not saying the players aren't culpable but for everybody that has said how well Miles has recruited here, it really hasn't show up on that side of the ball. And, I don't think it's a talent issue. If you just sit back and watch a full day of basketball on Saturday you will see that we are lacking in the X's and O's department. There is a reason why very long scoring droughts have been a thing under Miles and as to why we very often find ourselves having to play hero ball jacking up a contested shot before the shot clock. 1st Season #11 2nd Season #8 3rd Season #13 4th Season #8 5th Season #12 6th Season #10 7th Season #9
  9. What are the chances the new coach can keep the current recruits in the fold? I’d imagine Green will be long gone. Have to think we still have a solid chance at keeping to instate recruits.
  10. Well, there was Amir’s one chance to take a jump shot and he didn’t do it. Hopefully the next coach puts an emphasis on recruiting guys that can actually hit a jumper. We have been void in that area far too long.
  11. Miles is done for. Without Copeland this team just doesn’t have “it” on the offensive end. The same issues that have plagued us for years. I hope Moos or whoever can land us our savior finally.
  12. So this is why good coaches recruit and develop a bench?
  13. Amir is a guard who I’m not sure has taken a jump shot thus far. Sorry...that’s not going to work in the Big Ten. If he doesn’t develop a jump shot...and he probably won’t if Miles is still around, I can’t see him ever being effective in this league. I know he wa sick, but unfortunatly it appears it be a pretty big drop off from Xavier Johnson to Amir.
  14. More like Matt Davison if we keep it in house imo.
  15. You aren’t wrong. I wasnt on then “Eichorst was sent here by Alvarez to sabotage Nebraska” train but it’s amazing how inept the university is at hiring AD’s. With that said, regardless...Miles has no business making another 2+ million next year if this season continues as is. It will be a shame to keep him around just for another mediocre season because the AD situation is in flux. Rip the bandaid off.
  16. If Miles is fired I’d add Shaka Smart to the list. He is failing at Texas but perhaps an underdog type role at Nebraska is what fits him.
  17. Yes. In a heartbeat. He’s doing just fine at Houston. Pearl is doing just great at Auburn.
  18. We could only dream. Would be a great hire.
  19. And it could very well be without Copeland. Hopefully he’s okay but if he’s out it should not be used as and excuse for Miles. It would be nice to have depth but apparently it wasn’t a priority.
  20. His ceiling must not be very high. It’s a damn shame to think a brand new facility was built and the coach who christened it may go his entire career at Nebraska without one postseason win.
  21. Again, just a rumor but the word around Lincoln I’ve heard is that the higher ups (green/bounds) have not been too fond of his actions at Husker events.
