  1. Two on Morgan....that’s um...good for us.
  2. Nothin thing special but solid minutes from Nana and Tanner.
  3. Rebounding looks a hell of a lot better. 1-3-1 wreaking havoc.
  4. Great start! Take the crowd out of the game right away. Keep the foot on the gas
  5. The few times I have watched them it seems option #1 is always Morgan. It may depend on how the refs call the game. If they allow some physical play it will help. If not, Roby is likely to be in foul trouble.
  6. After watching Indiana a few times I felt pretty good about this matchup a few weeks back. But, we are not playing great and I just don't trust this team on the road. Indiana-76 Skers-70
  7. Disaster averted. Officially concerned about the number of minutes our top 5 are having to play.
  8. 12th in the NET as of today. The good news is that if you are going to lose...it’s better you lose by a little. And that’s been the case for us minus Tech. As of right now I project we will be favored in 11 of our remaining 16. Upsets happen, but sans Mich St we should be favored by 4+ points in all of our remaining home games. Mich St will be close to a pick em. Get by Mich St and this team could very well finish 10-0 in conference.
  9. I know this is Nebrasketball and we’ve never won a ncaa tourney game....but our goal should be higher than that with this group no? I will be disappointed if we don’t get the monkey off our back this year. Barring a pretty large collapse it should be a given that this team goes dancing. Just have to hope for some good matchups come March.
  10. To be fair...many also do the reverse and lay no blame on the coach and put all the blame on the players. Many times it is said “well if the players should just hit shots.” With that said, I can’t think of a game this year(even Tech) where I was thinking Miles got out coached. Mind you, I didn’t get to watch the Iowa game.
  11. I went to the B West-Prep metro championship game. My takeaway on Arop is that he is definitely a D-1 athlete but someone who still has a long ways to go offensively. He is very long and athletic and got almost all of his points by just out athleting the opposition. That’s probably not something he will be able to do vs Big Ten talent. He finished with 21 points and 18 boards but he only took one jump shot. I feel like we say this about too many of our recruits but if he can develop a jump shot he will be a very effective player. If not, I’m not sure he lasts all 4 years in Lincoln. I’m not sure where he fits in the lineup because he looked too small for a 4 right now and I’m not sure he has the ball handling skills to be a guard in our offense.
  12. This team has been great at home. I’m still hoping to win out at home again and find a way to win 2-3 Big Ten road games. We will be feeling great if that happens.
  13. 1-13..our record vs Tier 1 teams since last year. Hard to demand respect with a record like that. Certainly should be much better with our starting 5. Mich St is going to be a very important game for Miles and this team.
  14. Hard to imagine this is the consistency Moos is looking for. Unfortunalty we are going to have to be flawless yet again at home.
  15. Maybe instead of giving up a large lead on the road we will come back and win one?
  16. I feel pretty good about this team making the dance. Barring some major collapse the computers really like us. But these games are alos important for seeding. Would be really nice to stay in the 4-6 seed range.
  17. Any news on Garza? Him being out would go a long ways to securing a win. Not saying this is a must win but starting 1-3 in conference with @Indiana and Mich St upcoming would be not good. Huskers are favored. Time to TCB.
  18. Nothing is a gimme in the Big Ten. As it stands right now we will likely be a 4-6 point favorite vs Rutgers. We should win but it will be no gimme.
  19. Beating Iowa would help. As I said earlier, 3-3 would be solid during this stretch. Iowa is very winnable. As is Indiana on the road. I’m afraid Rutgers won’t be an easy task. But such is life in the Big Ten this year.
  20. The good news...we have a lot more “key games” coming up. Bad news is that this is starting to look like last year where we struggle to get the so called “quad 1 wins.” Minnesota and Maryland...two road wins that should have been and two wins we are going to really want back in March.
  21. I will be pretty ecstatic if we go 3-3 during this stretch. Getting one of the next two would be a great start.
