  1. A theme of the past 7 years actually. Actually you could go back much farther than that...but we have never had enough shooters. Miles simply could not develop a kids shot or did not put enough emphasis on recruiting shooters. He recruited athletes that did some things well but you become very easy to defend if you can't hit a jump shot.
  2. Here is the problem...XJ would still have to play in Miles offense and would be nowhere near as good as he is for Pitt. And even worse, he would have transferred out after a year or would have failed to reach his full potential. Before the season all the talk was about how this roster oozes talent. The moment shit hits the fan it becomes the administrations fault instead of the guy who is actually in charge of the program. We need to stop putting lipstick on a pig. Miles did not get the job done. I think he will go get a mid major job and probably do well. Hopefully, we grab a coach that can field a competent offensive team and recruit some guys that can put the ball in the hole.
  3. Not offense to you Jimmy as I like you as a poster, but if I could down vote this more than once I would. The fanbase is the only thing this program has. Can you imagine how awful we would be if Miles did not have the home court advantage of PBA? It's a miracle that thru all of Miles under .500 seasons people still show up in droves. There aren't very many fanbases that would do the same. The fanbase is not an issue. The product on the court is.
  4. .....bad coaching. Hero ball is just not sustainable. Never was. And Miles 7 years reflects that.
  5. We don’t have much to show for Miles 7 years. One ncaa tournament appearance which was a fun run. But, the new coach will be completely resetting. We will be bad next year. Like Rutgers bad. But, we were going to be bad under Miles as well. Hopefully the new coach can recruit and for the love of god...be able to put together consistent offense.
  6. The fanbase has made the call. Absolutly no way you can keep this staff around with how the PBA hasn’t played out the last few games. The fanbase is ready to move on and rightfully so. It’s going to be a few tough years I’m sure but this program is going nowhere under Miles.
  7. Maybe Doc was right when he said a shot clock violation was a “good punt” in basketball. Shot clock violations is better than us shooting right now.
  8. Just to to be sure, @HuskerActuary...can you please confirm if said stats are bad?
  9. Everyone agrees this team has talent. Yet, our offense is putrid. Whats the issue? I’ll go with the guy who has produced mediocre to bad shooting teams his entire tenure.
  10. I don't know why but I think we get back into the W column tonight. NU 73-67
  11. Yeah I’m not saying folks should have confidence in Moos. I have no idea how capable he is or isn’t. But I’m not worried about recruits at this point because it’s far from a given that Miles would have done anything but disappoint with the above group.
  12. Oregon had gone to the ncaa tournament once in close to 35 years before Moos replacement took them to multiple elite 8 appearances and NCAA tournaments. Id also like to know how Moos has undermined Miles. Funny, how all offseason it was how this team was going to be very good, a shoe in for the tournament but it wasn’t till Miles loses the team(again) that we hear Moos is to blame.
  13. Sipple says this is turning into a very easy decision for Moos. Cant disagree. Miles is coaching himself out of a job. Will probably find a solid mid major job at less pay. That’s probably more in his wheel house.
  14. Going to be a long couple weeks. Will be glad when this train wreck comes to an end. Hopefully the administration does the right thing and moves in a different direction.
  15. Well this should be a fun half with the announcers already shaking their head at our “offense.”
  16. Our offense is almost laughable...nothing better than the Tim Miles special...stand around no movement thrown up a prayer at the shit clock.
  17. You know it’s bad when multiple times the announcers calls out your stagnant offensive “sets.”
  18. 4 point favs. Not sure I agree with that but Vegas knows what it’s doing. Another game that “should” be a win.
  19. I'm not sure we have this luxury being that Miles failed to recruit a bench. Nana needs to play, but lets hope with increased minutes he starts to insert himself because we need him.
  20. Yeah, one could argue that he may not commit to us if Miles is retained. We just don't know. Nor do we know that Williams will go elsewhere if Miles is fired.
  21. If you are including NBA records, why aren't you taking into account his other stops in pro basketball? For me, I would not take into account NBA. That's a whole different deal than coaching college basketball. In college basketball, he has won the CBI and made it to the sweet sixteen in 3 years. Tim Miles has not won one postseason game in 14 years as a D-1 HC.
