  1. A job recruiting tactic nowadays...I hired my last manager that way. Asked her for her recommendations and she said “I’m interested” let’s ask Roy!
  2. Classless fans can stay the efff home. I’m as frustrated, sad, and even angry as the next. I cut out of work early, busted my tail to go pick up my son, skipped dinner, sped down I-80 to Lincoln, parked up by the baseball field, and walked for ten minutes in the freezing cold to see ineptness and sloppy play. But I’m going to do it again. I did it under BC and DS, and I’ll do it again. But anyone who takes pleasure in seeing someone fail, lose their job, affecting families and kids, and then spouts off as a keyboard/twitter warrior calling Miles a POS and a loser, needs to look themselves in the mirror and ask “why am I a verified d-bag??”
  3. I think the team looks fatigued. Crushed from the weight of lofty expectations and not being able to meet them. They should’ve drowned out the outside noise and just balled. But woulda, coulda, shoulda- I feel so sick right now for the players and the coaches. Unfortunately, i think reality has set in for those in the program that it’s coming to an end. And that fellas, sucks. Sucks because it means we didn’t meet expectations and have a season up to our potential, and i hope and pray the new guy pans out. Been doing it since the late 80’s...
  4. Glynn with no confidence I’m at the game and numerous, albeit a sparse number of people around me are vocally encouraging Glynn to pull his head out - guy has zero confidence.

  6. I have it on good authority our next coach will be Tom Crean. The good authority is my 12 year old son, who said “he looks like Miles but after he spent a summer going to Golden Corral”
  7. Thorir is one of our top two passers on the team. Not sure what’s going on with Glynn...
  8. Almost feel it changed after the Maryland road loss...then snowballed after Iowa. Like they felt pressure to win every game and it just mounted.
  9. A guy next to me suggested he thought he (Thorir) should be our #2 PG to allow Glynn and Tom run at the off guard, since they look to shoot more, and Thorir did have some pretty nice passes. That first wrap around one handed pass to Tanner down low was pretty nice.
  10. Actually thought our effort at times was better than it had been in recent games. My son predicted Thorir would see some time and he certainly played his way into the rotation more than Nana and Amir in the second half. I think Thorir brings an X factor that Amir and Nana haven’t shown. Nana is in a big funk. Amir won’t shoot, so he’s a pretty big liability offensively. Brady is just not there yet. Dude needs to spend the offseason at Golden Corral and Tina’s Cafe, like everyday. He’s got the frame to add 25 pounds. Roby- as much as we all love the guy, and as much as he shows flashes, he also disappears a lot too. Tanner plays with good effort and is battling. Glynn and James both had sub par games, so that’s not going to get it done if that happens. I liked that we fought back, but regretted the number of missed shots at the rim, and hated the bald ref’s calls. He’s been bad at PBA before. Final thought: I’m one of the few who pay the 5 dollars to park up by the baseball field. Been parking there every game since PBA opened. That was a brutally cold walk back. Why did the cop car block the normal exit up by the baseball field, so we had to merge with the line of traffic? Defeats the purpose of parking up there. Hope everyone who braved the cold made it home safe! GBR!
  11. Pass on Lue. While he’d have the NU connection and may be a “big” name, this isn’t the same as Scott Frost coming in to save our program. Lue inherited a roster that had the number one player on it. Lue has never recruited in the college game before, and we dont know his X’s and O’s and philosophy. Get someone that’s had division 1 coaching success and a proven record of recruiting players on a national scale, and developing talent.
  12. Thing I kept reminding myself on Friday night was Donovan is just a 17 year old Jr. Will have to grow up some mentally, but has plenty of time. I don’t like him jawing with fans, but he gives me the vibe that he has the confidence and swag our team desperately needs to have right now.
  13. North Star is a big team. Saw them dominate Millard South the night before- Josiah is about 6’7”, and Donovan is 6’5”. Heard Donovan had 36 pts. and 12 boards...
  14. I’m a life long suffering season ticket holder. A proud part of the “6500” as Lee B. Used to refer to us back in the 2000’s...and have seen some incredible highs. I’m sad. Sad for Cope, sad for our players, and sad for our coaching staff and coach Miles. I’m a Miles supporter and defender as long as he is our coach, but I’m resigning myself to yet another long rebuild, with a not so great historical percentage that the rebuild will happen. I’m invested in this team, but today was a kick to the groin, twice.
  15. Coach Miles and staff will be there. Game is in Lincoln tonight. As for the matchup, Arop will actually be guarded by North Star’s #20, who is 6’7” and has offers from NW Missouri State and is getting recruited by The Citadel. I watched them last night vs. Millard South, which North Star won 60-32. I posted my observations of Donovan specifically in the recruiting thread. Anyone planning on catching two future Huskers?
  16. Went to watch him vs. Millard South on Friday. For perspective, when I was in high school, Millard North had one 6’5” guy and he was our center. Donovan is a man amongst boys, and is just a jr. Hit a very deep three, drive at will when needed, was 4/4 from the free throw line, and has a very nice shooting form. I can see why he’s rated where he is. He also had a breakaway dunk where he went up one handed and tomahawked it so hard it hit the back of the rim and richocheted into the third row. North Star starts just one Sr, has a very good sophomore that comes off the bench, so they will be very good next year. They beat MS 60-32, so Donovan never really had to take over. Tonight, Miles and his staff will be at the game watching. Donovan has a very good relationship with Michael Lewis and coach Miles, and I’d say he’s a very solid commit.
  17. Oh, it’s almost 1 in the morning, I can’t sleep and sportscenter’s top ten plays, coming in at #2 was a dunk in the Hastings Colleg JV game. No joke.
  18. Sipple has an interesting take in the LJS...def turning up the heat.
  19. Or Joe McCray’s? His were whoppers and Big Macs...
  20. I really can’t explain some of our brain farts out on the court. Only so much of that is on Miles. Like two guys fighting for a rebound and literally neither of them squeezing it and it goes to Rutgers. Or and underhand bowling scoop pass that gets deflected. Would be awesome to have this team with a guy like Lance Jeter on it. A composed, cool, on court general. I love our guys , but wish some of them would have more of a killer attitude-
  21. Must. Breathe!! Our window gets gets a bit smaller, I’d say...
  22. So, did the team learn anything at all from crumbling on the road vs. Minny and Maryland? After Indiana, I thought so...but nope.
  23. They are putting on a clinic on how to defeat that zone for sure...
