  1. Yeah, someone landed on Glynn and no foul?!?!
  2. I hope Jordy can improve much better than he currently is, but honestly, he has to be one of the more uncoordinated Power five starting centers I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s hard to want him to get the ball right now...
  3. Palmer seems to be forcing his drives, he’s losing the ball or getting blocked a lot. Would love to see Cope come off a screen and pop frin m 16-17 VS just baseline threes.
  4. Tanner played a bit against some of the stiffer competition earlier this season and many were saying the Tanner Borchardt experiment needs to be over. He had a critically timed good game for us against Stetson. Personally I like the energy Duby gives us. His game against Minnesota was what I hope he can deliver for us in the big ten. I’m happy to see TB progressing into a viable option when we need him.
  5. Crowd was dead flat but hey, it’s Christmas weekend... Thought we shot it well from outside. Anton with back to back games where his scoring was very important Thomas Allen May very well be the future... Loved seeing Jack and Thorir get in. Nana’s pregame dunks are pretty sick. Guy has some explosive hops.
  6. Guy punch. My 10 year old actually started crying after this one. Proud we hung tough but really wish we could’ve held on...would’ve been an epic night for Husker Athletics...
  7. So many little things could’ve turned the tide of the game. If Jordy doesn’t chunk those two bunnies, maybe Mac calls a timeout and completely switches personnel, who knows? Another random thought. Duby is an incredible shot blocker, one of the better ones we’ve had recently. But his rebounding ability isn’t quite on par..seems like a few loose balls were a bit slippery for him.
  8. My 11 year old son said “Foster is a better post player than jordy..”. He may be right actually
  9. I hate it when Refs ineptness dictates the outcome of a game. Jordy’s reversal and the last two on Glynn were absolutely bad calls. Glynns Fifth was even Egregious. We are the better team athletically, but they just play the Creighton way. I’m confident we could beat them in Omaha if we played again. With a different officiating crew.
  10. I’m 41 and 5’9”, I’m fairly confident I have faster foot speed than Jack.
  11. Kenya should make Jordy make 100 straight point blank layups with both hand. And then repeat. And the. Put a man down low to introduce contact. And then repeat... and then...
  12. Gotta control the glass. I’ve said for years that length and athleticism give CU fits. Look at Baylor in 2013 and Rhode Island last year. We are longer and more athletic. We can do this!!
  13. If ET can mitigate Foster, I’d like to hope Palmer’s length will give KT some trouble. Foster seems more of a driver tha KT, I think Evan can stay with him, he’s a very good on ball defender. I give our overall edge to our backcourt, hope Glynn plays controlled but aggressive and hope Duby has some nice dunks and blocks. I really think we can do it!!! Why do I do this to myself every single year???
  14. Always do an office bet between myself and the CU Alums. Loser brings doughnuts in for the entire office. Been bringing them in since 2010. I’m feeling slightly more hopeful this year...
  15. I live in Omaha and hate Creighton with all of my might. And I dislike Jayskers very much. Tommie is like Kylo Ren right now...
  16. We are gonna have to play lights out but beating Minny at home is much easier than MSU on the road.
  17. Went to the game with a guy who has an AM talk show in Lincoln. Sat in front of the guy from 24/7 sports. Wonder if D-Wayne was in the works pre Moos? Probably. in theory, he could add a cool element to the atmosphere at PBA. Guess the PA announcer is a guy from 96 Kix I think. Anyway, instead of reading the promos and telling the guy who was 50’ from finding the $100 bill “Oh, soooo close!” I’m hoping he tries to get the crowd more pumped up.
  18. Rough night for the refs. Jordy is a big body but had some stone hands at times. “Squeeze!” Is what my coach would say. ET is my favorite player, mature, glue guy, great defender, and if he’s knocking down threes, bonus. Nice to see Mc-Trey hit a couple threes Duby had some nice blocks. With a 7’5” wingspan and able to touch 12’+, could use him as a FG and Extra Point blocker on our football team Thought D-Wayne would grow on me, didn’t happen.
  19. I’m honestly to the point where if we can get just one win over the next four (after BC) for the love of all things good and righteous, please let it be in Omaha! I work with 11 CU alums and they broke in my office last year and turned it blue. I wore a Rhode Island hat that I ordered off of Amazon in March. So, yeah, i need some mental support!!! Being down like 38-10 in Omaha crushes me.
  20. Honestly, we need to tighten our rotation. If Thomas is still hurting, why rush to bring him back? He looked a step slow. Also, the Tanner experiment can be over. Shouldn’t have gone in when Tako went out. What was that? Not sure I see much time for Jack if we play against athletic teams, which is 98% of the big ten. Just sayin. Palmer, Copeland, and Watson all need to score in double digits for us to have a chance.
  21. Frustrated. I have ESPN but centurylink. Says my subscription doesn’t support it. Bummer. Was gonna eat some turkey leftovers while watching it.
  22. I believe BTN will replay the game Tuesday for anyone who missed it, check local listings.
  23. Was able to upgrade from my usual 200 level seats to the second row of section 111 for this game. Wow, being up close, you really get to see so much more of facial expressions, hear the players chatter, and hear the coaches pretty crystal clear. Pregame: No Husker Power chant attempted by students at all. Too bad, as it’s been a mainstay tradition at PBA since the first season. Hopefully the usual leaders went home early for break. Game: Very up close to Duby’s Alley Oop. Guy has amazing wingspan, should play tight end and be a FG blocker for our football team. Guy skies for rebounds. Great to see the Raleigh guys have breakout games. Gill looked very confident out there. Taylor runs the show much more than I thought, he’s barking out actions and pretty talkative. As previously mentioned, Palmer looked just a bit pressed today. I personally thought Jordy in the second half hurt us and was a key reason why North Dakota pulled closer. He simply doesn’t have the foot speed to guard smaller players who drive at him. I think he may have given up at least 8 points in a small stretch. I aaw Miles look at Roby, who was waiting to check in, say “are you going to do something about this?” Postgame: Miles comments about UCF and the 7’6” Big was insightful. Said something about, our bigs not being able to run out front of them, but “we’ll get it figured out, Roby and Cope will.” Good win today. On to Orlando.
