  1. The absolute most fun I’ve had at PBA since No Sit Sunday. As a life long fan and obsessed over this series, not sure I would’ve believed we’d win in a 3 pt shoot out Sounds cliche, but we absolutely wanted it more Greg McDermott seems typically normal, but man, he’s butt hurt My voice is gone Im going to watch the game tonight on my DVR with a lot of joy - I was in the minority, but I told my inner circle of Husker fans friends the Minny loss, while regrettable, actually probably fueled our players Fire tonight. Order Restored
  2. You know how many times I’ve seen CU fans refer to Doc Sadler as Sling Blade and Ron Howard’s uglier brother? It’s just not how other places operate, everyone supporting everyone. My aunt and uncle are cattle farmers in Kansas. Both KU alums. Both cheer for the Jayhawks. None of their family started cheering for K- State in football in the 90’s and 2000’s when it would’ve been much much much easier because KU football was harder and harder to cheer for. They stayed with one school. I have issues with Jayskers who cheer for the football team and then don’t cheer for NU basketball because CU “makes the tournament” They strike me as Omaha area Cubs and Royals fans when they’re in the World Series- I understand you’re situation is different since you went to Creighton. I have a good friend that is a CU alum and get along with a lot of their fans- but yes, there are some obnoxious ones in both fam bases I’m sure
  3. NU - 83 CU - 70 7 threes will be more than disappointed in our students if some of the signs aren’t aimed at Preston Murphy, the 35 minute phone calls, and dancing with the devil...
  4. Did we try something different vs Coffey than Palmer down the stretch? More size??
  5. You know what hurts? Descending from 39,000 feet when you are super congested. That’s pretty much top of my mind right now. Gonna grab my bag, rush home, and probably watch the entire game on DVR- because I want to hurt with you fellas, and then focus the next two days on the Jays
  6. Guys, I’m on a plane from Phoenix and it was killing me so I bought the WiFi. Just followed along this game thread. First time in a long time I haven’t been able to watch the game live on tv or in person. I must say, I’m not nearly as angry, simply because I didn’t see all of the garbage calls and scoring drought. Unfortunately, we are not a team that can afford to pee games away if we are in control. That being said, we beat CU, Cal State, Ok-State, and SW Minnesota, we are still heading into the meat of our conference with a good start-
  7. I hope this game pisses off the players and we beat CU by 35 or 40
  8. I travel 35- 40 times per year, all over the country. I’m typing this post from Phoenix, it’s 70 degrees and Scottsdale is a place someone from Nebraska should consider retiring to. I’ve lived in Omaha my whole life, am proud to be from Omaha, love it, but it’s nothing like any of the other larger cities. That’s both good and bad, btw. I also enjoy downtown Lincoln and Haymarket too.
  9. I liked Karrington’s size and some of his highlights on tape. Played with some really high level guys at Monteverde and was actually thinking he’d be a candidate to take the Amir minutes. Hope he heals up 100%
  10. Like I used to say a few years ago...if you cheer for Suh, then cheer for Sek!!!
  11. I don’t have time to explain all of the reasons why I can’t stand CU. But lots of bad experiences with their alums, and as I’ve mentioned before, I work with a LOT of blue jay alums. They truly do believe they are academically closer to Harvard than Northwestern, and two refer themselves as the Duke of the Midwest. Their snobbery and entitlement attitude just rub me the wrong way. And I also have a guy who is an NU alum, cheers for our football team, yet puts blue on all season and then cheers against his own school. I always put up a nice bet with a fellow VP of our company and always lose. I can’t wait to win this year. But first, Minnesota.
  12. Gonzaga looked 1/2 interested for some of it. I kept thinking, honestly, we are more athletic than Gonzaga in some ways. CU has very little post up game, our length should bother their three point shooting, and PBA needs to come strong and we will be fine.
  13. He did indeed. He and AJ Guyton spoke out and defended Coach Knight during his last few weeks...
  14. Watched it on ESPN tonight, actually had Michael Lewis on there quite a bit, I forgot he was a Senior and Captain on Coach Knight’s last team. I should mention, the parts that have coach Lewis on the show are interviews and quotes from him back in 2000. Would recommend it, it has quite a bit of “bleep” “bleep” lol
  15. Saw this on Twitter- that’s most def him...
  16. I think he was with some fans/boosters who had made a connection with him last season-
  17. A- we did what we needed to do. B- saw a PBA usher go up to the 300 section and point towards the student section, then saw 50 fans head down there. C- Jordy was at the game, spent some time in a suite, then down on the floor. Wonder if he spoke with Miles, would think that would be kinda awkward. D- On to Clemson!!!!!
  18. Miles mentioned their HC played for coach Mo’ and he adopted their defense after Mo’s, which Miles said was a good challenge. I thought we did what we needed to do, there were seasons in the past where this would’ve been a 7-9 point win. On to Clemson.
  19. Something that bothered me, and maybe I’m way off onthis take, but it really looked like we kind of gave up, our body language was terrible, and we closed to 11 points with over two minutes left, and allowed them to increase the lead, no sense of urgency. Would’ve thought I’d see more hunger and urgency from our veteran team...
  20. Does Creighton have any slow, unathletic, sharp shooting white guys with knee braces?? If they have more than two, we are screwed.
  21. The play that typified his mentality was in the second half, when someone found him wide open at the top of the key. And by wide open, I mean nobody is within 7-8 feet of him. He pump fakes, then drives hard, stumbles, falls to the ground, and throws it to a tech player. He’s got to be able to take that shot and hit it. Don’t get me wrong. I love Roby. He’s my son’s favorite player. But he hasn’t shown any type of killer instinct in three years. Shoot, I’d just take a little bit of nasty and aggressiveness from him. Someone on the board compared him to a poor mans scottie pippen. I’d say, more like Tracy McGrady. Laid back, calm, and chill— like I said in the game thread- I’d love to put Rudy Ruettiger’s heart in his body.
  22. Every big ten team thinking...oh, we just take a bunch of charges to stop JPJ never was an issue last year-
  23. Well, it’s pretty certain Roby won’t be making the jump to the league next year
  24. We need a Mooney And a number 11 And someone put Rudy Ruettiger’s heart into a few of our players
