  1. I think we are in. Lots of back channel conversations and politics go into play that bracketologists don’t consider, and neither does metrics. I have a gut feeling we are in. Oh, and I’m probably a little bit in denial as to our true standing...
  2. Just got done reading the last part of the series. Completely captivated me, nice hearing what coach Nee has been up to since 2000...the call with him, Pike, and Chubick, made me a bit misty eyed...I really would love for Danny to be able to come back to PBA and be honored at halftime, and I bet he gets a nice ovation. And it’d be a nice change up from watching the fifth grade boys scrimmage.
  3. I see. But is it safe to say the ones that were previously on the senior leadership have since been removed, except the 7 out of the 15, from Senior Leadership? That’s how I’m reading it...
  4. Count me in as someone who would buy multiple copies of a book about NU hoops ever was published. I know many other fans would too.
  5. So does this mean everyone else lost their jobs? A notable one would be Chris Anderson, a long time member of the athletic department and SID to TO back in the 90’s...
  6. Who did mens basketball between 1997-2005? warren swain/Jim Rose?
  7. Wow. Didn’t think I’d see this version of us after the St. John’s game. It was No Fail Friday and we simply couldn’t answer the Bell. Either the scout was way off, or we just forgot everything and went to the four guys standing around stagnant offense. I honestly barely recognized this team. Very disappointed. It was put up or shut up and I’ll be shutting up.
  8. If we go to NY and win the whole thing, are we a lock? Sheesh. This name bias is really pissing me off. Wiscy or IU at 13-5 and 22 wins and they would be ranked in the top 15
  9. Interesting connection with Taylor and Reaves...Taylor stole it from Reaves at the end of the first half and scored on him, didn’t know it was a former HS teammate!
  10. Deon Thomas just said beating Michigan wouldn’t be enough, they still would have more work to do. Mike Decourcy agreed. Hey, nobody can accuse the BTN analysts of being homers for the conference. Except during the Sandusky scandal.
  11. If you want to get pissed quick, turn it to BTN and listen to them talk about the clear separation of the top four teams from the rest of the pack, and say “some could say maybe Nebraska belongs in the top five..” Also said “we all know Nebraska still has a ton of work to do” define a “ton” Dave Revsine??
  12. The steal and layup underneath the basket by ET embodied that guy in the most ET of ways. He actually became my favorite player this year. Love his heart. Let’s take down Michigan or Iowa or Illinois!!!
  13. You can take Creighton off that bubble list now...
  14. Absolutely love Evan Taylor. I know some who sit around me don’t, and are quite vocal about it, but he is our lunch pail leader, who has made numerous energizer-Benny type plays that part go unnoticed. Agreed, he will be hard to replace.
  15. Shon Morris, as off his rocker as he was after the Maryland game, just listed his top five games in order, and #1 was Penn State at Nebraska. Told Big Ten fans to circle it. Lots at stake! Oh, so was Jack Mitchell right about it being born on his radio show?
  16. No Sit Sunday - first season my 7 year old went to almost all of the games. A memory he and I will always have NU VS CU when Mike Peltz smashed Avery Dingman and Grant Gibbs in the loose ball scrum. Any game with Amos Gregory or Lance Jeter.
  17. Shon Morris is off his rocker...sheesh
  18. I thought it was interesting that barely anyone from recent teams came back, or at least was there for the court recognition. Velander, Turek, and those guys, but barely if any of Doc’s guys or even Miles previous teams were there. I texted the real Mike Peltz and he couldn’t make it this weekend. A few years ago he came back from Alliance and drove all the way to Omaha to watch my son play little league hoops. Meant the world to my son. Still cool to see some of the guys that gave us so many memories.
  19. The walk to Decaney made it so much better when you actually made it inside the door...a miracle I didn’t get frostbite on some of those walks. I have many fond memories of the Bob. My eyes may have welled up a bit during the video they played during the final game VS. Minnesota.
  20. Good win. Took care of business and can prep for Sanders and Baker this Saturday. Rutgers just played Purdue tough at home, but I feel good at the Vault. GBR!
  21. What a gutty performance. Like Copeland said, if it was earlier in the season, I’m not sure they fight their way back. To go on a run like this and against Northwestern on the road to finish the game, it’s pretty fun and I could get used to it. Man I think Evan’s a gamer. I know he is somewhat limited offensively and some think he plays out of control, but I absolutely love the guy. He brings the energy and sets the tone on defense. His little things add up. I think we will miss him next year much more than we think. Oh, we just got some love on ESPN, Scott Van Pelt with the Best thing I saw, he says “if you’re sleeping on Nebrasketball, this right here is your wake up call” “this could be a tournament team” and proceeds to show the iverson dunk, then basically a entire comeback. Nice to get some sports center love!
  22. Oops, I was off by one. Told ya’all, never any doubt. (Typed in sarcasm font)
  23. I’m starting to dislike Wisconsin at a Creighton level.
  24. Sweet dish from Watson to Palmer. Glynn has to stay aggressive and not just pull up for three’s.
