  1. Crazy to think that, when healthy, we are one of the better teams in the Big Ten. It's weird looking through the standings and thinking wow there's not a single team in the conference we couldn't beat regardless of location.
  2. Really hope SE can see what he has here. Easily could be 17-9 (9-5) *Clemson, G-W, Ohio St, Rutgers, Wisconsin*. Can't wait to see how they finish this year and what lies ahead for next year. P.S. Miles has already won his 2nd most Big Ten games in his tenure with 4 games left
  3. Should've known better than to give up on this team. Saw them down 5 with 30s and was like well its over. Checked back like 45 min later just to see the final stats and saw that we won!!!! Let's go atleast 3-1 down the stretch. We don't play again until Thursday so hopefully the extra day is enough time to have every one feeling good to go.
  4. I believe Dana Altman took Oregon to the CBI and won a few years ago and now he has built himself a consistent top 15 team. Could be a good stepping stone for next year. My vote would be yes. But hopefully we can snag something better.
  5. My favorite thing about the box score is the amount of minutes Tai and Glynn played. Gotta keep those two fresh if were gonna make a run at anything.
  6. When I was thinking about it in my head I tried to keep it within 5 years so they could all have technically been on the same team. Some fell just outside of that 5 year span tho.
  7. @Section_316 I was just kinda getting at starting Hollins over Bradley at PG in that hypothetical situation. But yes it is awesome to see all the D1 talent from NE playing well at their respected levels. There are even more not on the list above, notably Thik Bol (Benson/ Southern Illinois) and the Bell West kid at Bowling Green Lots and lots of talent out in these '17 and '18 classes too. Pretty cool.
  8. Hoping for some more consistency this year. Seems like we have had collapses to end the season the past couple years (One much larger than the other). Should be able to get another tourney bid. But let's make some noise this year.
  9. I think with another season under their belts they can both be close. Both have been lights out shooters when they are on. Consistency seems to be the key, which is common for underclassmen. But I guess wouldn't classify them as elite 3pt shooters.
  10. I think Hollins plays the point for UNO right? Has a pretty high assist average
  11. I belive Wingett received an offer from one of the Dakota schools. That's the only one I can remember hearing of tho.
  12. So... about Palmer not making grades??? Is that just a guess or is there something to that?
  13. I kinda wish we could experiment like a video game sorta. Take all the instate kids the past few years: -Agau (Georgetown) -Hollins (UNO) -Thurman (UNO) -Daum (South Dakota St.) -Thomas (Creighton) -Patton (Creighton) -Billingsley (UTSA) -Chang, Wingett, Strom, Arop, Akinwole, Allen Throw em all on a team for a couple years and see how they would match up against P5 basketball. Just a thought that crossed my mind.
  14. I don't think we necessarily need him to shoot at that guys clip. We will have Jack and Horne. And Glynn isn't terrible and I imagine he'll get better. Plus possible contributions from Gill, Nana, and Roby from deep. My hope is that with the maturation of Glynn and addition of Palmer we won't have a huge drop off in our back court (I know it's unlikely we will be as good as the Tai/ Sophomore Glynn duo). But with a stacked front court (yes I think Ed, MJ, and Jordy deserve the adjective "stacked" when describing them) and more play makers on the wing I can see us being so formidable 1-5 where they won't be able to smother our gaurds like opponents are this year.
  15. Appreciate the info about the walk ons. I have been kind of curious about them since we haven't seen any of them this year.
  16. This season's frustrations are wearing on my optimism (for this season not the future btw). We could easily win the next 6 or lose em. My guess is somewhere in between. I'm not sure how much Miles job is on the line but if he can scrape out 7 or 8 total conference wins that's gotta be good enough imo. With next season being his best, most talented, and deepest roster on paper.
  17. I'm not sure how popular of an opinion this is but I'd much rather have Glynn taking last second game winning shots over Tai. I know Tai is the senior leader but Glynn just seems to have ice in his veins. I believe he already has two buzzer beating shots to tie games. I felt the same way with the Clemson game.
  18. I was also gonna throw out Michigan State as I remember they lost to bigs way early but couldn't remember how impactful they were or would have been.
  19. Are we the most beat up team in the Big Ten, aside from maybe Indiana, right now? I'm also taking into account significance of who is injured. No Morrow and a very limited Watson plus Gill who was our 6th man and playing 20 ish minutes a game. Those are significant losses.
  20. Haven't been able to slot him higher than 9th in any of roster predictions/ rotations. Freshman struggle and we are gonna be extremely deep at the 2 and 3 next year.
  21. Also being a Chicago Bulls fan, I would find it very very interesting if Hoiberg became our next coach.
  22. Well atleast we can agree on something. I have penciled in as our 11th or 12th guy for next year. But I'm hoping for better.
