  1. Hahahaha. Creighton didn't steal him from Miles. Nebraska backed off of the unranked PF...Probably so they could keep the scholarship open for Hammond, who is ranked by ESPN as a 4-Star and the #22 Center in the country. And in the Rivals150. I think all Husker fans are probably ok with that trade off...Go back to your Creighton site. Seriously? How did what I say make me a Creighton fan. We never backed off of Hanson. He visited here and decided to stay committed to Creighton. We wanted him here, but could not convince him. Hanson is more highly ranked than Leslee smith. Those are the facts.Sorry. I'm on my iPhone and I've seen alot of posts from Creighton Fan, and I thought your post was one of them. I also disagree with you about Hanson. From what I have been told, Nebraska backed off of him, because he isn't a Big Ten caliber player. That's fine. According to what I've been told, Nebraska was high on him at one point, but then backed off because he isn't a Big Ten caliber player.

  3. Now you are just being silly. Everybody who knows anything about basketball knows about the Big East and certainly high school basketball players do. The conference has its own TV contract and every game will be televised. You're right. I just didn't expect people would argue every single point just because I am a Creighton fan. I guess I overestimated my audience. I guess we'll see. Granted, all americans don't come around everyday, but I see nothing but positive momentum for the Creighton program right now. We have two very talented freshmen bigs that we can build around for several years and, as you well know, are hard to find. A successful year this year could lead to a whole new type of recruit landing at the hilltop. I find it amusing that you say Nebraska has positive momentum despite a pretty abysmal year last year, yet Creighton, who is coming off wins in the NCAA tourney in back to back years and returns essentially every player but one off of last year's roster has negative momentum. I guess we define momentum differently."I find it amusing that you say Nebraska has positive momentum despite a pretty abysmal year last year, yet Creighton, who is coming off wins in the NCAA tourney in back to back years and returns essentially every player but one off of last year's roster has negative momentum. Which team has completely sold out their arena with season tickets? Which team has had multiple articles written about them this summer by national writers? Which team stole the longest tenured assistant on Georgetown's staff? Which team has 5 Sweet16 teams coming to their arena this season? Go back to your Creighton board.

  5. When is someone going to make t-shirts that say this?
  6. In my opinion, Nebraska should finish the 2014 class with Gilmore and Bolden. That would give Nebraska 3 players in the 2014 class that will likely all be rated 4-Stars by ESPN and will likely all be ranked in the Rivals150. That, my friends, would be a Homerun class for Nebrasketball
  7. I was just going to ask this same question about what is meant when Miles says we want 2 "bigs". I agree with your analysis that it probably doesn't mean 2 players tabbed as centers. Tory Miller, a bruising power forward definitely qualifies as a big in my book. I can't imagine that Wacker's offer is commitable at this point. He was at least the third, maybe fourth prospect in line out of our offers at center. Yeah, I think that "bigs" just meant that Nebraska isn't looking to sign a PG or SG in this class.
  8. Big rules state you can only over sign by one.Yeah, I guess i didnt mean oversign by 2. I guess what I meant by "oversign by 2 scholarships" was sign 2 more players than the 2 open scholarships that Nebraska has available right now. Maybe a player that is currently on scholarship will be encouraged to pursue other options before national signing day, which would free up a scholarship. That would mean that Nebraska could sign 4 players in the 2014 class (which is 2 players more than scholarships currently available), but they would only technically be over signing by 1.
  9. In my opinion, the best case scenario for the 2014 class is Gilmore + Hammond + Bolden. This would mean that Nebraska oversigns by 1 scholarship and let's the roster sort itself out. Tim Miles said that Nebraska is looking to use 2 scholarships on "big men", but in my opinion, that doesn't necessarily mean that Nebraska is going after 2 players that are 6'10", 230 lbs bruisers in the paint. I think that Gilmore, Hammond, and Bolden would all fit the description of what Miles was talking about when he said "big men". It is my understanding that Miles meant players 6'8" or taller that can play in the post to some degree. After all, I'm pretty sure Smith and Rivers are both 6'7"-6'8" and both will see extensive playing time at the 4-Spot in the Tim Miles offense. I believe that Nebraska will sign Wacker if one of these 3 players doesn't end up at Nebraska. Another scenario would be if Nebraska was willing to oversign by 2 scholarships.
  10. where are you putting benny parker then?Hanging out with Craig Smith, Kenya Hunter, Chris Harriman, and Tim Miles. Sorry. I meant to vote this up, but pushed the wrong arrow. I'm on my iPhone...
  11. +1. Jonah Bolden + Leon Gilmore + Jacob Hammond in the 2014 class would be a home run class for Nebraska. Would also address Nebraska's greatest immediate needs at the Forward/Center positions and would be a springboard for the 2015 class. Well, Hammond just committed today, so now we just need Gilmore and Bolden to commit for the Nebrasketball trifecta of 2014!
  12. #BOOM #Nebrasketball
  13. Wow. 7'2" wingspan along with his athleticism could be a very dangerous combination... Would love to see Nebraska land him.

  15. Players leaving Nebraska early, because they are talented enough to go to the NBA without finishing their college career is a problem that I would love for Nebraska to have. Getting a few players with that kind of talent can change a program forever.
  16. Yeah, interesting that neither Smiles nor CreightonFan have thoughts to share about Tai being cleared by the NCAA. I have a feeling they would both be pretty active on here, if it had been announced that Tai was ineligible...
