Just a guess on my part, but I think jimmykc might take umbrage to your inclusion of Tom Baack on the list....
-
The way Boehm came across in the article, it reminded me he came here with Pederson. If I was him, that's not something I would want Huskers fans to recall....

I hope yours goes as well as Bruce Jenner's did.

O.T. Enjoy Every Sandwich: The Benefit
cipsucks replied to cipsucks's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Anything. So far we have model cars, Husker memorabilia, gift certificates, quarters of beef among other items. Also, cash donations are welcome. -
Hey everyone, A quick update on my son Seth and what we have going on July 4th weekend. Seth is on the list to have a bone marrow transplant in Rochester. They hope to get the ball rolling sometime late summer, but there are complications which I won't get into here. It's not a donor thing, his case is so unique, they don't know right now just WTF to do. It'll be alright. God has the final diagnosis. On Saturday, July 2nd, we're having a benefit to help off-set the cost of his medical bills and to help him when he has to be in Rochester for 4 months after the transplant. He has really good insurance, but the co-pays have added up. We have a 2 person scramble at Fox Hollow Golf Course in Sutton starting at 9 a.m. Afterwards, we have free food and a silent auction at Conlee's with all proceeds going to Seth. If anyone is interested in golfing, or, if you would like to donate an item for the auction, please pm me. I have been on the receiving end of solicitations and they can be really irritating. I hope no one takes offense. I consider all of you family. (not necessarily a good thing, some of my family, I dislike ) Thanks for putting up with me!

AW-III IS BACK FOR HIS SENIOR SEASON (SOMEWHERE)

I'm a button pusher in the car, and I happened to catch a lot of the Washut segment on Bahe's show. In between the giggles and stupid questions, he asked Robin his gut feeling on whether AWIII returns. Washut said the limited number of NBA people he's talked to said Andrew needs to improve on his 3 point shooting and defense to make it in the NBA. He thinks he's coming back. But, he also said, if Andrew heard the right words from one person, he'd turn pro. I guess we'll find out soon enough. -
49r, That is funny!

They also recently inked a deal with Nebraska Star Beef to provide their student athletes with our beef sticks. We started out with the Huskers, and now my nephew has gotten our sticks into 12 Power 5 Conference schools! If you haven't tried them, you should. And, no, they're not at Creighton. If they ever approached us, we'd have to sit down as a family and discuss this one....

3:33 p.m. On ESPN 3. For you Romans, that's III:XXXIII p.m. on ESPN III. -
He's going to the University of Duke? Heard the University of Duchess didn't offer. Surprisingly. Thinking he was out of their league, they didn't have the balls to offer.

What the hell's a Clamato? Sounds like an STD. If you've never had Clamato, you've never experienced life. On the positive side you've never had a burning sensation when you pee, either....

Bloody Mary with Clamato. Salted rim, pickled asparagus spear. Need I say more?

Alrighty, then. We have lunch set up for noon this Friday at Barry's. If anyone needs a ride, pm me and I'll come pick you up. I know they'll be at least 3 of us there.

Little does anyone know, but this is part of the Barry Collier Nebraska to Butler deal. Michael Lewis is the player to be named later. I think we did okay....

And Daughters as well, I moved to where me mother in law lived. I have to hand it to you, Bugeaters. I couldn't have moved in with my in laws....

Thanks for the save, jimmy. I'm guessing someone was disappointed Conlee's wasn't an option for this ......
-
jimmy, I'll come pick you up. Is it your middle knee they're replacing?

If anyone here is interested in joining me for lunch, Friday May 6th looks like it will work for me. If you would like to attend, just post in this thread what time works for you and what part of Lincoln would be the handiest. We'll pick a time and place Wednesday that will be convenient for the most people. I look forward to meeting with fellow Husker Hoops masochists!

OT: Anyone know any good sites for ...
cipsucks replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
The site to watch the sites in Hampton is Conlee's. We have like a 12 inch cement floor above the basement. We can withstand a nuclear attack, baby! Also, whenever the tornado warning sirens go off, we have dollar domestic beers and 2 dollar well drink specials.... -
I'm sure there's a bunch of people who worked under Steve Pederson in 2004.....

Whatever Tim's plans are.. They need to be fast
cipsucks replied to bigFRED's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I beg to differ. All patrons of Conlee's know the only time any Bluejay team is on one of our TV's is when they're playing the Huskers. Now college football is another story. Creighton fans can watch their team on every TV. -
Danny Manning and the Miracles lost at the Bob. Beau Reid hit the game winning shot. Fun game to be at.

The 1973 undefeated state champion Hampton Hawks wore the purple and gold version. The NSAA declared the uniforms illegal the following year. IIRC, something about the top all had to be a solid color other than the number.
