All I know is I'm really tired. Maybe it's the cares of life that's doing it. Maybe Northwestern winning in Madison today sets me off. But I'm tired. I'm tired of the wait til next year argument. I'm in a Kemper Arena restroom after Nebraska loses a semi-final game to Kansas State in the Big 8 Tourney, and two Wildcat fans say "Damn, can you imagine how good Nebraska will be next year when Hoppen gets there." I'm still imagining... I'm tired of it wasn't for .... If it wasn't for Tony Farmer being ineligible, if it wasn't for Jose Ramos being Jose Ramos, if it wasn't for Mikki Moore not redshirting, if it wasn't for Barry Collier, (okay, the Collier hire was idiocy in its finest form), but back to this year.... if it wasn't for AW and the injuries..... I'm tired of losing to Gardner Webb and Incarnate Word. That crap is unacceptable. I'm just tired of all of this. As I've said before, I hope Miles is our coach next year. If he's not, that's fine, too. I want Nebraska Basketball to be successful in my lifetime. I'm just really really tired.... No, I'm really, really, really tired......

Wisconsin (20-3) vs. Nebraska (10-13) Game Thread

Effin' A, Cotton. If I could take this moment to give my two cents worth on a couple of other threads talking about next year. My hope is Miles has another year here. I think he's a great fit for Nebraska. My gut tells me if they win only 1 or 2 more games, he's shown the door. Here's a whiskey/nyquil chaser to the Huskers going on a 10 game winning streak!

Hear that Husker Power is going to be killed
cipsucks replied to hhcmatt's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
But February made me shiver, with every Husker Power I'd deliver. On the anniversary of the horrible plane crash in Iowa, I say RISE UP. Who gives a crap what the dimwits in the admin say. Everyone do the chant anyway! Grow a pair. -

What they should do tonight is, instead of HUSKER POWER, is I'M A LUE...SER! -
We call ourselves the anti-Egg and I. But, remember, the finest restaurants aren't open for lunch. Flemings, Conlee's, the Dairy Queen in Osceola in winter all have no lunch hours....

misty's Shmisty's. You want a great steak or charburger, Conlee's is the place! BTW, HB you'll be interested to know that starting Monday, Duster's in Columbus is adding our 14 oz. wagyu ribeye to their main menu.

Nebraska (9-9) vs. Rutgers (11-8) Game Thread

No Morrow, no tomorrow.... -
This was the worst because we absolutely collapsed defensively at the end of the game. We gave them the frickin win. It wasn't stolen from us. We handed it to them.

....in my 45 years of following Husker basketball. Man up, Huskers and coaching staff.

Thanks, bugeaters. With your help I figured out the embeds. Just like before. I'm a moron....This video captures the Huskers growth as a team this year. I don't know why, but I have a really good feeling about this year's team...

Sorry, this is the first time I've tried to embed a video since the format change. I can't figure crap out. I'm sure Dimes can fix it, if he doesn't decide to delete it...

Last week Miles said Ed Morrow would be re-evaluated this week on his health status. I'm guessing nothing stated by this time. What do you say we speed the process up? Jesus said in Mark 16:18 about his followers: "They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." I'm a follower of Christ and I know many others on this board are, too. I won't get access to Ed, but I bet he gets access to this site. If he doesn't know about it, I'm sure someone here will clue him in. Tell him just to grab the monitor and accept his healing. Laying on of hands works. Here is a Seth update: Back in July when so many on this site gave generously to the fundraiser we had for Seth, he had to get a blood transfusion every two weeks to keep his red blood count at an acceptable level and he was on the Mayo list for a bone marrow transplant. Today, he goes two months between transfusions, he's off the Mayo list and the doctors don't know why. We always look at each other, smile, and we know why. Lay your hands!

Here's the way I see this: for the next game or two, Morrow just picked up three cheap fouls in the first two minutes of the game and basically sits for nearly all of the forty minutes. We adjust and other players pick up their games. Now you must excuse me. I have to feed my purple unicorn who poops rainbows.....

Loved Barfknecht's line in today's paper: "A great start to the league season for the Huskers, who were too gassed after the double-overtime win over Iowa to hold off Northwestern. The only group with less energy was the Pinnacle Bank Arena crowd. Strange to see folks pay $10 to &50 a seat and then take a nap." I got tickets to the Purdue game. People in my section will be fired up even if I have to sneak in booze for all of them!

I'll give my answer Sunday afternoon after the Northwestern game. Following this program for more than forty years, the typical Husker team loses these next two home games. This isn't a typical Husker team. Kick some ass this week Huskers and PBA ticket holders!

Miles Just Punched His Ticket Today
cipsucks replied to Huskerinexile's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
What was Iba's last straw moment? Preseason practices in Mabel Lee Hall before he took NU to their first NCAA Tourney? Did you mean to say you've watched the last four Husker coaches? I can agree with you there. -

You gotta give Miles credit. He got his ass firmly planted on the hot seat a week before Christmas. Way to go! -

A Lincoln park, on a cold winter's night, will do the trick (so to speak).
