  1. Must be replacing Bobby Lutz. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. Maybe I am being too optimistic, but Fred strikes me as a guy doesn’t want to be seen as a quitter. Iowa State should make the phone call but I see him shutting it down quickly. If for some reason he did leave, I would call up Craig Smith VERY fast and see if he would come in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. WELP... Now we are screwed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I have mixed feelings on this. Yvan for example- I would love for him to stick around and grow and learn... but the eye test tells me he just isn’t that naturally gifted. If he is open to learning and taking a lower level role, then sure.. happy to have him stick around but I don’t think he is ever going to be a major Minute guy. Stevenson seems like a good dude who is not a bad guy off the bench. Happy if he is ok with being a 7-10 minute guy. Wood- no idea on him. Again, if he is ok with just chilling and growing, I am cool with that. I like the pieces we have coming in but certainly wouldn’t be against getting on the transfer market. I am ok with losing all three of the above if it means getting in more needed talent(PG/shooters) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Stevenson showed us some effort but I won’t lose any sleep over him leaving. I would be very ok to lose a few guys if that opens up spots for a true PG(transfer) and some depth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Everyone’s heights are fabricated, so it all works out. He isn’t the tallest 5 in the league but he isn’t really what I would consider short either. When I made the comment about being tall it was in relation to normal folk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. 6’9 isn’t that tall? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Not trying to pile on this kid, but I think if we did a list of things he can do on the court, it would be smaller than the list of things he struggles with. Yvan is tall... that is about the extent of his basketball resume. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Any rumblings to what was behind it for King? It’s a bummer because I think he could have been a big time leader for this team. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. No. He came out of dallas First time I ever heard of him so seems like we had high hopes on Adama but now just going for a seat filler with potential. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Seems like you take a chance on a guy with great athletic skills, the size but who is still new to basketball. Only 15 but took extra year with prep school. My guess is we wanted to add another rim protector. Still a bit light at 220 pounds but seems to be able to run the court and guy who can help off the bench and hopefully be patient and can learn. I assume you pair him with Yvan or Walker and let him play more of a “4” so he doesn’t get pushed around by true “5”’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Says whom? We have an open scholarship and need a big..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Door 2. I think they were honest on where they thought Cross would fit in and if he wanted a better path it might be elsewhere. It does feel like Cross would have been fine being here if he was a part of the future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. N- sit one to play one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. GROW UP! Insert sarcasm font Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Exactly. I wish we could gain some stability or consistency but do you really want the consistency to be what we saw last year? Fred put it together with a rag tag. In my opinion the only guys I really wanted back(who played)based on talent was Cam, Yvan and maybe Cross for depth. I am a bit higher on Cross than some but he struck me as a 10 minute guy unless he really changed his body. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. That dude was the whole effing boat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I honestly am not the biggest of fans. Obviously he would fill a major need but the bits I have watched the dude relies a lot on his height and size. He can get pushed around and seems to have some issue controlling his emotions. Fairly surprised he is leaving Purdue but curious where he goes. I don’t think he stays in BIG10 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Washut says he is all N! #2 rated sit out transfer! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. LETS GET OUR CALABRASKETBALL SHIRTS OUT!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I would assume attrition is hopefully done. With two spots the 2 folks mentioned above would be good but wonder if Fred wants to run with that many available guys? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Is this one of those "testing the waters" where he can come back or is he gone/gone? I assume he is pretty much gone but just not sure if he tested out poorly could he come back a year?
  24. Does Cam Mack staying/leaving have some say in our chance with Carter? At this point, I wouldnt be shocked to see Fred move on from Cam but wonder if Cam stays does that mean we are out on Carter?
  25. If he truly is a 2020 guy, I am very intrigued how the team would run minutes with him/Yvan/Walker/Mayen. It would allow for you to have true balance at the 4/5. You can then play guys like Cross/Thor at the 3 or if you want to flip the lineup around you can have a ton of versatility with more true depth.
