Really important to keep him on board. Really impressed that his family told him to at least hear Hoiberg out. Seems like a very thoughtful/supportive family. That being said, if Jervay gets here and doesnt think it is right, I would say it is best for him to move on.

I get Lutz has the special assistant title, but do we still have 1 more spot open and he will take more of a player development role? I like keeping Gates. So we have our two recruiters- Matt and Armon. Either Lutz takes the 3rd spot and helps with defense or we bring in someone else?

Ya, I will probably remove or edit that post. Not really one to bash others like that when it would be fairly easy for him to know who I am. I didnt personally see eye-to-eye with Chad but others seemed to like him. Brody on the other hand is a GREAT dude. Yet, still a blue jay... so there is that.

In today's recruiting I think it is pretty tough to find good recruiters who dont toe the line. Unless I hear something more concrete to the rumors, I am not all that concerned. Hoiberg knows the guy, so I am not too worried.

Brody Deren, Chad Millard and the last guy was a baseball player at Wayne State and played independent baseball for a few years named Dustin Jones. Brody is crazy strong/big/hard to move. Chad didnt really seem to like basketball much but he actually had some pretty impressive skills when he wanted.

With our depth at PG, I think MAW still would have gotten minutes even with the potential of Cam Mack. I assume he just didnt get the warm fuzzies and is seeing if he can get something more sure closer to home with other moving parts.

Man, Buffalo is just getting smoked right now. 3 JUCO guys and 1 freshman booking now. Noah Williams- 6'5 Guard- 3 star out of Seattle. James Rojas(JUCO)- 6'7 Forward Durey Cadwell(JUCO)- 6'5 SG Andre Allen(JUCO)- 6'9 Forward I assume all take a hard look at Bama but no idea how many spots they have open.

This might have been mentioned but Andre Allen is another JUCO guy who asked for his release(from Buffalo). 6'8 forward(this might already be mentioned) at Arizona Western. He could easily just follow Oats to Alabama as well.

While the post from him didnt leave me with warm fuzzies, I think we let him go get his grade and see what they suggest for him to fix or if he should just stay in the draft. If they grade him late second and the things they suggest he fix fit Hoibergs style, then he comes back. If they want him to be different, I could see him grad transfer to a bigger name. Honestly it might depend on who we surround around him. Roby probably doesnt want to play on a garbage team.

I use to work with a couple of former Creighton players(it was awful because we kept losing to those blue jay jerks).. Played ball one time. They went like 10% speed but it was pretty obvious how much better they were. It also was guys who were 6'8+ so there is that. One of the guys who played was a former Div 2 baseball player and he was the best.. VERY athletic.

And we thought depth was rough this year.... I wonder if Hoiberg will leave some spots open or if he will go heavy on guys who can play right away for 1 year. Lots of new faces. I actually think Roby comes back. My prediction on who stays/goes: TrueBlood- Gone- Last year was magical and i think he will move on to coaching. Borchardt- GONE- No idea if he can get a waiver but he is a fighter and I could see him back but maybe a stretch Roby- BACK- Could be a 1st team all big ten Akenten- GONE- I sort of hope we show him the door but with depth issues who knows. Burke- BACK- Going to be REALLY good I think Thor- BACK- I dont know if he fits the style but I think he gives it a shot with hopes of playing time. Harris- BACK- concerned he hasnt proven to be a great shooter but he has the size and athletic ability to help us! Heiman- BACK- Will be used in a role that should fit him better. He had moments last year where the talent is obvious. A good coach can help that. Davis- BACK- Simply because he has no where else to go. Like others have said, WHO KNOWS?!?! Adams-Woods- BACK- I think the bring on Armon Gates and after looking at the market, Mika stays Jervay Green- BACK- Could be special in Hoibergs offense. Arop- BACK- Already known. I dont have any idea how much he can help now, but in two years I think he could be a key helper. So with that we currently would be looking at this for depth: C- Heiman F- Roby/Thor/Davis/Arop G-Burke/Green/Harris/Adams-woods Still leaves us at 4 open schollies. Could be wrong on Adams-woods, so with that in mind, maybe 5 open scholarships. Major need for Bigs and a PG.. Actually needs at about everything. I would like to see us add 3 guys who can play now and 2 transfers who sit out a year. for the 3 open spots, I would like to see two grad transfers(or any decent JUCO) and then 1 freshman. Ideally get a Grad transfer at the 1 but who knows who will even be available. My ideal hope would be: C- Heiman/Grad Transfer PF- Roby/Freshman SF- Thor/Davis/Arop SG- Burke/Green PG-Grad Transfer/Harris/Adams-Woods
