A takeaway for me in the Boogie-JL conversation is that RL doesn't seem to currently be in it for PG. Seems like Lloyd is at the end or out of the rotation to start the season and much like JL last year he'll just need to make the most of opportunities as they present themselves.

From people who have attended practices (not me), doesn’t sound like he is one of our 5 or 6 best players. And that’s not an indictment on him. It’s a good thing imo.

Likely means nothing, but we’re at that point before a season where it’s time to dig into every charge and pass we see from practice on social media… sooo… It appeared the red team was JLaw, Keisei, BWill, Josiah, and Reink… starting 5?? white looked like Hoiberg, CJ, Rice, Diop, and maybe Lloyd. If you consider red to be the starting 5… how tough is this second 5!?!? and that’s still leaving out Blaise, Gary, etc who weren’t on the floor!

This is really a no lose situation for NU. If the penalty is significant no one would care if we cut him, but while he is here he provides a quality scout team player for the regular rotation to go against. If he's around next year he would have a head start learning the culture and will provide quality depth at PG. Plus, it's impossible to keep everyone happy with playing time and he one guy you won't have to worry about that with.

Reading the tea leaves, it sure sounds like Jamarques is our point guard. If so, I’m all for it. I want the ball in his hands a lot, and I want him and Keisei on the floor at the same time a lot. I’m also ok with Boogie as a veteran coming off the bench.
