  2. Does one have to prove he is a college athlete or can one use the Al Bundy line about scoring touchdown in high school?

  3. Hasn't this guy picked someplace else yet? Good grief. It's college. They all have hot chicks who want to bang athletes. Choose one already.

  6. Crazy competition for this kid. Miles gets to compete with the likes of Self, Izzo and the up-and-coming Tony Bennett. This would be a hell of a win and a total Burn(o) to the other teams.

    Miles extended through 2019-20

I know this is tongue-in-cheek post but I think we see another school paying us to buy out Miles before we have to pay Miles to leave. So you mean to tell me there is a difference between extending the contract of a coach who had a top 4 finish in his first four years and a NCAA appearance rather than extending(that was no biggie) a coach AND DOUBLING HIS BUYOUT(LOL) a year removed from going 2-14 in the Big 12 and just a couple NIT appearances? Only to fire that same coach the next year? Interesting. Has anyone read that this extension doubles Miles buyout? Very subtle, 13. So, what do you think of Dr. Osborne?

  8. He's got 4 hours to fill...plenty of time to build a strawman, give it some clothes, a name, and then blow it down. While I think that 93.7 has the most Nebrasketball coverage, sometimes part of that is discussing how dumb a dumb idea is. That's my guess on the above segment and now I'll actually listen to it to find out if my guess on how it played out went.

  9. This is going to take awhile, so please be patient with me. Years and years ago, soon after Dave started this website, a poster by the name of jimmykc (couldn't figure out why a guy from Kansas City was a Husker bball fan) started a thread called Enjoy Every Sandwich. I wondered what the heck he was talking about. Well, it was a reference to Warren Zevon's dealing with cancer. When you're diagnosed with it, that's what you do. All the little things, no matter how small, take on new meaning. You learn an appreciation for them. Jimmy, at that time, told us about the battle he was facing. Thank you, my friend, for sharing the beginning of that war. Had you not done that, I wouldn't have known you were victorious at battle's end. I wish I could tell you that I'm facing that same battle against cancer, but I can't. I would trade places in a heartbeat. My 23 year old son Seth has been diagnosed with MDS--Myelodysplastic Syndromes. It's in the leukemia family. (kind of the same way that Baal is in the Beelezubub family). He's a trooper. He's spent two weeks at UNMC, undergone 3 bone marrow biopsies, 15 blood transfusions and numerous other tests. And guess what? He's still working! And always has a smile on his face. I love that kid! So why am I sharing? Several reasons. 1) Don't sweat the little stuff. I mean," why didn't you throw your dirty clothes in the hamper" bitching really sucks. 2) I don't care how old you are, you're not guaranteed tomorrow. 3) focus on the important things--God, family and doing good. And last, but most importantly, when Seth is completely healed, God is gonna get a big High Five! Speaking of "High Five, A Cancer Survivor's Poetic Journey" page 55. "Medicine is the art of taking strangers' problems and treating them like your own. Poetry is the art of taking your own problems And sharing them with strangers." Thanks, jimmy.

  10. Drop the Mike is the worst show. He recycles the same topics over and over again and his questions are stupid. He constantly contradicts himself all the time and is a joke. I love 93.7s coverage of NU hoops and Gaskins and Stevens are pretty good but good god Welch is nothing more than a frat boy with his lame topics.
