Plus 1000 points to you. The end of close games are really annoying:
Foul, free throw, free throw, timeout.
Desperation shot misses, foul, free throw, free throw.
Timeout. Desperation three goes in.
Timeout, nearly five second violation, timeout.
Foul, free throw, free throw...
And so forth.
Do his knees bend the right way? Does he have hair on his legs or a Notre Dame poster in his basement? Does Mark Kreuger have more in common with Bob Ley or Ed McMahon? Just doing my job in chugging toward 40.
Dean: I think my present lack of a vested interest in the NBA causes my perception that the folks attending NBA games now will not remember them 30 or 40 years hence. However, those in attendance at the Bulls game last night are sure to recall Rose's shot. Nevertheless, I venture many were too busy taking selfies to acquire an actual memory.
Jimmy, Thanks for letting me know what retired folks do with their spare time.
I did not know what to anticipate this fall...
But now I do, my friend. Now I do!
The problem for Harris will be on the defensive end. If required to play in the post, he'll be pushed all over by Big 10 posts. He can be Pitchford offensively if that means you want him running around on the perimeter, but he's not going to be doing a lot of posting up or scoring from the block.
At some point I need to dig in and find small teams and what they did to be successful (or not).
Until that time my gut tells me we need to run/pressure a lot more with a 9-10 man rotation...something we haven't really done.
Another theory offered by the KC commentators was that when teams that have been perennial bottom dwellers suddenly become good, sometimes the other teams in the division view them as upstarts and will get real chippy with them to try to intimidate them and put them back in their place. Could be what's going on here as well.
My guess is it's all the KSU fans who follow the Royals. In all likelihood, they're the real problem.
