At the end of 3, 45-35, Hoosiers. Indiana starts the quarter on a 9-4 run. Nothing falling for the Lady Huskers, they're going to have to get Hot in the 4th to win.

We've held Indiana well enough.....32% shooting

We just have no movement on offense, horrible calls by refs.....and maybe worst...almost no points by guards.

Turnovers .... 26 and counting

RT looks like she's glued to the floor...is her leg bothering her?

Buss ate our lunch.

one thing that has haunted the huskers most of the season. ball security.

i would think this will turn the minny game into a must win. btw, minnesota 40 northwestern 46 at half.

Thats what Matt & Jeff were saying, that it is a must win. Did you notice that no travels were called in the second half.

It appeared all the weird calls by the refs...kind of made us apprehensive, to the point we were a little timid offensively.  We stood around a lot. Zone defense seemed to bother us too.

Nat shot a 3 air ball, how strange is that? RT only shot....3 or 4 times ?

No excuses for the never ending turnovers...we were asleep at the wheel. We just didn't seem to want to drive to the basket at all.

Indiana got the vast majority of their points on their drives to the bucket....they aren't good shooters otherwise. Missed most everything from 10' and on out.

Shake it off ladies...move on and regroup for the next one.

I donno....maybe Indiana put some of that Detroit water in our water bottles ????

+10,000.  The few times I've seen them play, they consistently make poor decisions on passes and compound that with lazy passes, primarily trying to feed Shepherd down low or on fast breaks.  The amount of turnovers this year is mind-boggling.

I did not watch the game yesterday and only listened to a few minutes of it.  I have a question about the turnovers that Shepard had - were they mainly due to poor passes on her part, traveling, passes that were difficult to catch, or something else?  Or a mixture of all of them?

Probably a little of everything. Got ball stolen, her bad passes, dropped passes, a couple of bad calls by refs, etc. She may of had a couple of her shots blocked. Had about 2 or 3 offensive fouls called on her that were bogus. (on at least one Connie went ballistic).....another one I recall that really was a foul.  Pretty sure Jess had 4 fouls, which is real unusual for her. (Allie had a couple of "unusual" fouls called on her too.)

And Jess had a couple of ball handling errors that she doesn't do often. Not so much traveling calls, she doesn't do that much.  Like the rest of team, she (we) were just not crisp, if that makes sense. She had 11 or so turnovers I think it was.

Granted we were way off our game...but it looked like many of the refs fouls calls were called on us...(Indiana shot a lot more free throws)  That kind of thing put us even farther out of sync. The refs were blowing the whistle unnecessarily a lot. It seemed to bother us more than Indiana.

Our three starting guards only had 2 points in the whole game, so it was tough for Jess since she had to take on the role as almost the only scorer.

There were just lots of problems yesterday, many were ours alone, some ref interference, and some was just good play by Indiana.

We've responded well in the past...crunch time is here.
