With signing day less than a week away ...

I wasn't going to say "last minute surprises" and leave it at that because, on the football side, we had a lot of last-second decommits and I didn't want to tempt fate, here.  Just asking whether anyone thinks there'll be a last-minute add.

 

Remember Standhardinger?  He showed up on our commit list and no one but nobody knew who the hell he was or that we had been after him.  Total surprise.

 

There've been others of those through the years.

That is indeed the one thing that you look at in this exhibition game and think we're truly missing.  If there's a weakness in our roster, that would be it.  Just one athletic big dude who can defend the post.

I agree we absolutely need a big man.  With that said, even if we don't sign one in the early signing period, we will still be looking for either JUCO, transfer or still an outside shot at a HS big if the right one comes available.  Miles had made it clear that this is priority #1.  Doesn't mean we get that big we desperately need, but it is on the top of their list.

I agree it's a priority, but I watched that game last night, and it was just an exhibition, but their were times where Morrow was getting pushed around by the bigs of NS. It wasn't just him, either. Imagine going against a guy like Hammond. Whew, or even Olah. At some point you have to go sign a guy and put him on your bench and develop him knowing he won't be worth a lick until he is a junior. I see that in Hammond. It's really hard to play small when you aren't deadly from outside.
