All I know is I hope that the men and women's basketball teams from Iowa don't ever try to have kids because they could they would be mutants.

We needed this one. Need to find a way to get production and time on the floor from the bench. Iowa played 11 players and we can only play 8. There is something wrong with this picture.

Iowegians scored every possession in OT.  No defense whatsoever.  Just too worn out.

This is a wake up call. Need to get the bench going. We have healthy people. Time to start using them. Can't keep pissing away leads like this. We always used to be a pretty good second half team, but not this season.

Really we only play 5. 3 see the court but don't really do much, right now.

In previous years our go-to player in the second half was Lindsey, then it was Jordan. Who is that person this year?

Well, they finally got us.  Lost to a good team at their place.  The worst part is we didn't win with one of the most epic performances in history.  Emily Cady had a game for the ages.  Absolute toughness.  Tried to win it by herself.  Some good things out of Tee and Brandi, and Rachel when it counted.  Disterhoff and Logic did it for them.  Emily must have the most points-rebound combo numbers in the modern era.  Great job, Em.

We could have used a bench player to frustrate Logic some more. Maybe Cincore. I don't think Logic could push her around.

I hate Iowa almost as much as I hate Creighton.

BRW, an absolutely disgraceful call on Rachel at the end of regulation.  No guts by that ref.  Not sure I have seen a call with no contact at the end like that since I was playing Y ball in the 60s.

Should have had a W there. Had our outside shot been falling we win this going away.

 

How do you make that call at the end of regulation?? I don't like to complain about the refs but that was ridiculous.

I would say Iowa only played 10. Kastanek was in the game for a few seconds, just long enough to turn the ball over, and then was on the bench the rest of the game I believe.

Too many silly passing mistakes when we had the lead.  Logic stole several sloppy passes.  Iowa had the crowd and the energy the 2nd half.  Need to regroup, rest and win the two upcoming home games.  Because the Rutgers/Maryland trip will likely result in two L's.

I just don't understand why we can't get some more minutes from the bench. We have Romeo, Havers, Smith, Cincore, and Kalenta that should at least be able to play a few if not more, especially for Havers and Romeo. Put them in until they screw up. That may only take a minute for some, but for others you might get a solid 4-5 minutes. I would expect they would improve enough be season' send to play meaningful minutes. Also will help out for next year, which could be really ugly if these kids don't get more time.

I thought maybe Havers come's in and roughs up Doolittle there late. To maybe get the fifth on her.
