Does anyone know if the ticket office will be conducting the "Seat Yourself" season ticket improvement program for basketball, as they are for football right now? Essentially where you get to view other open season tickets and can choose to switch if you like. I certainly hope so, as I got stuck* with front row tickets in the 200 level and have to deal with the awful rail. It would be an improvement for me to go back a few rows.

* I wouldn't have used the word stuck when I was originally awarded these tickets. I was ecstatic. To go on a mini side-rant, San Antonio's arena used plexiglass in the upper level instead of a railing. Not sure why we didn't do the same.

I sit in the second row in the 200 level and my dad and I talked about 100 level seats as soon as my dad saw the photo I took of the rail view the day the arena opened up.  I still can't believe that they didn't use plexiglass...I've brought this topic up a number of times...although when I met Tom Lorenz a few weeks ago my mind was more in the "Get a ROCK band at the PBA" mode than it was "Get PLEXIGLASS" mode. So I ended up talking to him about upcoming concerts and the hope that one of them would be a rock concert.

For those interested, they won't be doing the Seat Yourself process for any sport other than football this year. They didn't have it budgeted for any other sports. However, they do plan on doing it for basketball and volleyball next year.

We have tickets on the Champions side but I would rather have the same seats on the opposite side behind the students.  I wonder if they would consider that?

Tired of the old lady plugging her ears when me and my wife cheer too loudly or her turning around and staring at my father and brother-in-law for voicing their displeasure with the refs.

For anyone curious, I called the ticket office yesterday. They said that season ticket renewals/upgrades will occur in August.

Are they using the "Seat Yourself" process?

Unfortunately not for this upcoming season... perhaps it will be in place for the year following.

Not that it's going to change my view about the sitting and standing thing...but I was on the other side of the discussion last weekend at the Santana/Rod Stewart Concert.  There were two women sitting or standing depending on the song right in front of us that decided that our section needed to hear their conversation more than the music. Pretty much everyone around them at one point or another told them to "shut up" as they all paid to see and hear the music...not to hear a couple of women yacking about nothing in particular.  They women got pissed off and started arguing with everyone.  No shouting or anything that would draw security....but I guess there were words exchanged on the way out between the two women and some of the people.
