Sad to see the girls lose tonight!  Great season by a very thin squad.  BYU shot lights out.  It will be interesting to see what kind of attendance will be at PBA without the Huskers.  

 

Cannot believe that Jordan Hooper's career has come to an end.  She has been a fantastic ambassador for Nebraska basketball.

Honestly, I thought we played a helluva game in the second half. Wouldn't give up, darn near tied it up. Poor start killed us, some missed layups hurt, and lack of a bench hurt. Won't happen like that next year. Good season,especially considering how things didn't look so good a few months ago.

Listened on the radio and it sounded like the defense just wasn't good enough.

 

Sad to not capitalise on the chance to play at PBA for Sweet Sixteen, but overall, hard to feel bad about what this team did this season though. With such a short bench and undersized team, it's really incredible what they accomplished.

 

There are bigger and brighter things ahead for this program. The last few minutes give you an idea of the kind of playing style Connie will prefer with a deeper bench and more athletes.

 

Bring back this remarkable junior class, Theriot, Havers with another year of experience, and add 3-4 freshman that contribute right away, and we're looking really good for next year. Then Jess Shepard comes the following year.

 

Thanks for everything Jordan Hooper! I've followed your career since you were a freshman leading Alliance to a state championship. Simply one of the best players, and best people, to ever wear a Husker jersey, regardless of sport.

Clearly the B1G is not the league that the Big XII is in women's basketball.  Oklahoma St. goes into West Lafayette and knocks off Purdue.  

 

If the incoming girls are as advertised the Huskers can challenge Michigan State for the title.  We still are going to lack the inside presence for one more season.
