It's nice to see that we are not insane fans...or that other fans are insane like us. One or the other. Here is the expected overreaction from the Ohio State fanbase from their Scout board.

"This team is getting blown out by Nebraska. I seriously doubt this team makes the tournament. They are awful"

"So this is what it feels like to be Nebraska basketball."

"Nebraska is a is a tough team at home."

   - "Nebraska's no tougher than any other bad team at home. Good teams will walk out of there with a win."

   - "Can we please stop saying Neby is a good team at home. They are second to last in the BIG. Have we sunk this low. Good lord we are bad this year. It's almost, well is, embarrassing."

   - "Thank you, somebody said it.....home or road we should be demolishing this team....well, i thought that at the beginning of the year anyway"

"The refs are going to screw us, no doubt...."

"Ok, how does Nebraska get guys that can drive and create their own shots and ohio state can't find those players?"

"Is it just me or does every other fan base sound way louder than ours?  I'm getting sick of it! Don't give me "the we're a football school" because so is Nebraska.  Too many fans sitting on their damn hands when we're at home.  Nebraska is absolutely feeding off the fans.  Wish ours were the same way."

"I still don't understand how Nebraska and other bad teams can have guys who can score but Ohio State doesn't have a single player who can create their own shot and put the ball through the hoop. Hopefully there are a few in the stellar classes the next few years"

"I'm not going to freak out over this loss and think they're not a tourney team. Michigan almost lost at Nebraska - probably should've lost but Petteway missed the shot that he hit against OSU late in the game - and the Wolvies are a tourney team (it's not like it's a cakewalk playing in Lincoln this year, it's a serious challenge unlike the past couple of years), and I myself guaranteed this would be a much tougher game than the one they had a couple weeks ago with the Huskers."

Funny stuff considering they beat us by 31 points 17 days ago. 3 weeks later, we apparently have better scorers than they do. When we were playing with confidence last night, we looked like the better team. We hit 2-13 from 3 at home and turned it over 17 times and still beat the #15 team! We can still play so much better! The future is bright.

The most insane comment of all was the one about the refs.  Give me a freakin' break.  Whoever posted that should be sentenced to watching continuous replays of the block/charge calls at the end of the NU-Michigan and NU-Purdue games for an entire day.

Cracked me up as well. Just shows that every fanbase has blinders on. Apparently Ohio State fans don't see the same BS we do every time we play there.

Loved these. Wow we should be final four bound very soon. We recruit better than Ohio State, our fanbase creates a more hostile home court advantage, and we get all the calls!

Are these just the standard gripes of every fanbase after a loss or what?

I liked this one:

It will be nice though when I do not hear comments about "how can we get beat by a team like Nebraska" or similar such quotes.  It is about earning respect.

If you want to see how universal these comments are, tune in the AZstarnet game chat when the #1 ranked University of Arizona hoops team is playing a close game. It's like a cut and paste of one of our game threads.

All a matter of perspective and expectations I suppose... Arizona and Ohio State fans are like multimillionaires who are upset that they can't get to a billion dollars. We are peasants who would be thrilled about winning $1,000...or even finding a $20 lying on the street.

I guess many college football fans probably think Nebraska football fans are the same way, constantly whining and griping about the team even after finishing 9-4 or 10-4 every year for more than half a decade now. Most fans would love their teams to be in that position. Unfortunatley our expectations for men's basketball are pretty low, and we still can't quite get there. I have a feeling it's changing soon. Petteway has proven himself, Shields is a good player when playing healthy, Webster was excellent last night and has much more upside than a player like Aaron Craft. Pending disaster, these guys have 2 more full years together after this one. We literally need one good big man to come in here next year and be physical enough to grab some boards and make layups for 8-10 pts a game next year. Jacob Hammond, hit the weights kid!

I must be a peasant, I found a 20 in a parking lot at the CWS last year. And it paid for my part of the gas, I was thrilled as hell

What do Greg Oden, Evan Turner and Jared Sullinger all have in common? They were all POTY candidates and walked out of Colombus a loser. When have we EVER had a player like that? Buckeyes are funny.

yes but to be fair they were still playing with peach baskets when greg oden played
