Rome4Lyfe Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 After beating #16 North Carolina, that loss doesn't look so bad. They maybe the team to reckon with C-USA! Frazier is an absolute stud! Quote
Huskerpapa Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 ...that may be, but it does not forgive us for our lack of defense and melt-downs on offense. This is not meant to be critical, rather, it is meant as disbelief in how poorly we played against both UAB and UMass. Quote
HB Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Yep, it didn't look that bad at the time for those watching closely. Frazier can play. Quote
Rome4Lyfe Posted December 2, 2013 Author Report Posted December 2, 2013 Very true, didn't get to watch, but listened to the games on the radio. At least the two teams we have lost to so far should challenge for their conference championships and don't look like duds so far! ...that may be, but it does not forgive us for our lack of defense and melt-downs on offense. Huskerpapa Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Looks like Kent just tweeted the same thing... Kent Pavelka @KentPavelka 3m #Huskers loss to UAB last weekend feels better. Blazers dumped 16th ranked North Carolina Sunday, 63-59. Expand Collapse Quote
hskr4life Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Glad to see our two losses are against teams who are doing pretty well. Considering how poorly we played, those could have been wins, and that means even when we played terrible we hung with a pretty quality team(s). Quote
Hooper Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 I saw their KenPom rating yesterday (#124) and figured they were quite a bit better than that. They're a good ball club that plays well together and appears to be well coached. Quote
jimmykc Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 There must be plenty of Fahro haters in North Carolina now as well. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Did Fahro tweet that he has no regrets about not going to North Carolina either? hhcmatt and 49r 2 Quote

49r Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 I'm not going to jump on the UAB bandwagon just yet. There are a couple factors at play that makes me think this isn't as big a win as we would like it to be for them. First. UNC appears to be struggling out of the gate this year with the loss at home to Belmont. Yes, they did beat Louisville which is impressive but losing at home to Belmont tells me that they at least have issues to sort out. Second. UAB was playing at home and their coach, Jerod Haase, was a player and assistant under Roy Williams for basically 20 years until he got the UAB job last year. If anyone should be able to game plan for UNC, it would have to be Haase. Finally, the conspiracy theorist in me wants to think that maybe Roy dumped the game just to help Haase and the Blazers out a little...sure, it's probably not true, but hey crazy things happen sometimes. It wouldn't surprise me if Roy Williams gets pissed if his grandkids win in Candyland. No chance. HB and throwback 2 Quote
