Not surprised by the Tubby news at all. Not sure how attractive the Gopher job is right now, but if they're willing to throw a truckload of cash....

 

Some good talent potentially returning for the Gophers. Could help attract someone. Cupboard will definitely not be bare.

 

Should be the last of the carnage in the conference.

Hard to say it's a terrible move by either of them until we know who they hire..  If one of them ends up with Shaka, I'd say they made a pretty good move.

Is anybody else a little surprised that Doc is interested in Tech?  I know it's a Big 12 school  and would be a good fit, but they did fire his best friend.  Normally coaches are pretty loyal in these situations.  Maybe I'm just off.

They didn't just fire Billy G for no reason. Dude needed to be fired.

Given Doc's success at UTEP and the fact he was an assistant at Tech for 3 years makes him the perfect candidate for an interview.
