Hake is a hustler but she wouldn’t be my choice to start.

A bit of a risk on defense.

A slow start for them but kind of thought it would be. They got better as the game went along. Agree on Nissley starting. She looked a little stiff so maybe still getting back to as close to 100% as she can get. She is such a smart player we need her on the floor. Great to see Allison back on the court.

Not really very concerned on who started at this point. This was more like a scrimmage.

This is a much different team from last year. We have 4 or so from last that will probably start, but the new players appear to be contributors down the road. Amy's just sorting things out and getting everyone on the floor to see who can do what....well. If we do that much mixing of players, some times a little confusion shows up.

The players you might expect to be ready to go...were.  Rimdal may well be a frequent contributor, looked to be in control of what she was doing. No deer in the eyes look. She understands the speed of the game. Hargrove isn't afraid to mix it up. She just needs more time to learn her roll.  Prince will be a great floor general. We had a ton of steals. A good sign. All in all we started the season well. Watched a replay. Sure was nice to see Weidner give it a go finally. Good for her. Good stuff.

just a little sidenote from the Husker-Doane article in the OWH:

Last week, Nebraska met up with North Dakota State in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for a scrimmage at the Sanford Pentagon, where Nebraska will play in November.

The Huskers won 84-67 in an impressive showing against a team that went 22-12 last season.

Markowski was great in that game, scoring 23 points on 9 for 11 shooting from the field and 5 for 6 at the line. Prince and Amiah Hargrove each added nine points and three rebounds for the Huskers.
