But they are 7-5 with three road win.   Puts them in fifth place. You neglected those stats since it did not fit your agenda

what to me is the problem area is 31.1% shooting percentage on 3 point shots.  As much as the Huskers depend on hitting from beyond the arc, that has to improve if we want to climb the standings ladder.

I agree completely.  We rely so much on the three and stats indicate we are a poor shooting team this late in the season.  An adjustment to me would be only our best shooters get a green light on threes, especially early in the shot clock.

This makes sense, but who do you say are the best shooters? Because most people would say Jaz Shelley, but to me, she is the one taking too many early threes at inopportune times in the game. Maybe ALL of the players just need to have a better understanding of what the team's strengths are and rely on those a little more. We seem to be more successful when White and Moriarity are driving to the basket, and I definitely like when we utilize Potts inside more, but so often Jaz will take an early three and it becomes a one and done.

I tend not to be too critical of Jaz because she is so essential as a passer and defender and rebounds well.  I don’t understand her shot selection and she has yet to catch fire in a game this season.

Yep, since they want to take triples in bulk, the efficiency must be more like 36% to improve overall in the winning category. GBR

Yes, I agree with you. We definitely need Jaz for her IQ, her passing, defense, etc. She is an above average player, but like you said, she has yet to solidify herself this year as an elite shooter, and I think it has definitely hurt us in a few games, because it took too long to go in another direction. We hung onto her for too long, while others could have sparked the offense in a different way. JMO of course, but I sometimes feel like she is looked at like a Clark, when she's not at that level, and our team really does have to be balanced to be successful. We don't have a Clark to take over the game when we are in trouble.

It would be nice to see  Jaz to get back to shooting the threes at a better % like the season she had 2 years ago where she hit 41% for the year but then we also had Haiby and Weidner to successfully take the ball to the hoop which helped set Jaz up.  Remember when she hit 9 threes setting a conference tournament record against Illy?

She is still getting set up nicely. Most of her threes are wide open. They just aren’t falling. I’m not saying she should stop shooting, because I believe she has the potential to really be a force from beyond the arc, but I do think we need more balance than what we are getting. The best games have been the games where more people contributed. They haven’t necessarily been jazz’s best games.
